The room was small but very comfortable. The colors in the room were
muted, relaxing shades. Front desk person was very helpful, friendly.
Had problems with the tv and the other front desk person came right to
our room to assist us. (It was a very simple fix.) We were on the
backside of the hotel so it was quiet. Room had recently been upgraded. -

They were very helpful, with regards to the area, and pointing us to what we needed. The office area was very clean at all times, and the breakfast supplies were readily available and fresh. We were given one of the freshly renovated rooms, which was very nice. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Location, free parking and lots of it. back from Street so it was quite. We come to Kingston once a year to have a weekend of shopping and socializing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They didn't have a kettle in the room, but when asked, the staff was happy to heat up water for us. Excellent service, very clean rooms. Even under the beds was spotless, which usually tends to be dusty.
For the price that was paid, and the swimming facility/kids play area, the place was amazing.
We had 4 rooms booked for 2 nights for a family trip and really all enjoyed our trip, including a memorable morning in the pool area.

I was a bit apprehensive about this place because of some of the reviews. However, my bed was quite comfortable and the room looked pretty clean.
The desk clerk was pleasant enough. My tv didn't work and when I went to the desk to inquire he knew what the problem was and fixed it in two minutes.
It's not a vacation stop, but it's okay for one

VERY BUDGET FRIENDLY
Christopher is very personable and friendly and knows how to make a guest feel welcomed and happy. I know he would go out of his way to make sure everything is comfortable and enjoyable, but we didn't require anything extra as we were already so impressed with our room.

The owner was very sweet and friendly. He had called a couple of times ahead of time to see when I'd be arriving, which irritated me initially, but afterwards I realized their service is just that good! They live on the premises and wanted to be sure they were in the office to accommodate our late evening arrival. Very cottage like inside the rooms. No amenities a regular hotel has (restaurant, pool, etc) but fully furnished, fridge, stove, etc. the bed was a little old and lumpy, but not enoug

The room was available when they said it would be. Check-in was easy as they already had my reservation through letsbookhotel.com. Staff was very friendly. Room was spacious and clean. Restaurant offered a good variety and everything we had was very tasty. My wife and I stayed for two nights and we got two free breakfasts as part of the room cost.

While the hotel is anything but fancy, the rooms are large, clean, and all is in good working order. The staff took pains to make me feel comfortable, even bringing food to my room so I wouldn't need to wait in the restaurant for it to cook. I was even given a voucher for breakfast! Chateau Guay provides excellent value for the money.
