Beautiful setting - our room had a deck with a wonderful view. Nice furnishings, wonderful fireplace - very comfortable and secluded! Emerald Lake Lodge is one of the most amazing places I have ever been. My husband and I went there to celebrate our 10th anniversary and it was absolutely stunning and it looks exactly how the pictures show it does. It is in the middle of no where, but close to many great gems to explore. The room was perfect for two and we LOVED the real fireplace! The food was decadently delicious! The honeymoon suite and similar oceanfront suites are superb...spacious, warm, inviting, inspiring, romantic, tranquil. The food preparation is exquisite with a generous menu variety. The wonderfully groomed landscape and gardens are a very special part of why we choose to return, as is the ocean vistas. Every room at the resort has an ocean view.

The location is superb - looking out onto the ocean - and the lodge has its own private beach. Relaxing in the large, supremely comfortable lounge looking out on the beautiful scene ( as the rain poured down!) with endless supplies of coffee or tea was a real treat and a memorable one.
Freshly baked cookies in the evening were a nice touch too.

The thing that impressed me the most was how well the front desk people handled a rather difficult customer, as I waited to be served. All other staff that I encountered were very accommodating and helpful. The facilities and setting were also impressive. Thanks for a great stay. I hope to revisit with my wife. -
The seaside setting is lovely, and Painter's has activity packages
which take full advantage of the natural resources which surround it.
Taking the shuttle over to April Point on Quadra Island is a fun option
- and yes, cruise-ships, tugs with their barges, fishing boats and
pleasure craft all add to the charm.

We had asked for a ground floor room which was not available but as the hotel had an elevator that wasn't a problem. Nevertheless the hotel upgraded our room for us which was finished to a very high standard. It had high ceilings and a kitchen area and very modern bathroom. Sorry we were only staying one night. -

The cabins are lovely and very well furnished. There is a restaurant just over the road, which was good, with extremely nice staff. The reception staff were also very helpful. The location, in Blue River, is useful if you wish to go on the River Safari to bear watch, the reason I chose to stay in this location. There is a lake nearby, where you can swim, which we also did and thoroughly enjoyed. To be recommended!

We had been assigned to a king
bed with a separate pull out. This was not satisfactory to our family as we requested 2 queen beds. The weekend was very busy with several hockey families and staff were run off their feet,but were very willing to make us happy.

The motel was a few steps from the beach. The receptionist was personable.
The room was very basic but had everything we wanted or needed--including a full kitchen. -
room was adequate - not fancy but comfortable and nice location. Pool was a pleasant surprise - large.
I would go again.
