All of the staff were very friendly, helpful.
Rooms are comfortable, very clean. Location is excellent.
Kitchen and dining areas are well set up for preparing meals. Private outdoor courtyard off dining area is great.

The place was clean, tidy and very well organised. The staff were extremely accommodating and could not have done enough to help you ie the manager drove us to a pickup point for us to join our ski trip at 0700hrs in the morning as we had a lot of luggage. The owners Gerald and Abbie live in the hostel and take extra care to keep a high standard of comfort, care and extra service. I prefer them over anything more ritzy but where the owner is never on site so you are neglected or just a number.

It was a warm and welcoming home away from home: comfort, cleanliness, kind and friendly owner who was interested in sharing knowledge about places to kayak, close to the Quadra Island ferry, had lots of pamphlets, maps, books and board games for inside time.Good showers with no extra cost. Absolutely everything was perfect, nice and cosy interior design and layout, big communal area, lots of space, super clean facilities, big kitchen, very friendly people, I felt very welcome and at home, fantastic location close to ferry and all the shops!

Arrived late .. got a great service and a new and better room because the hostess (owner) had a "no show" Great room and so clean .. wonderful .. this is basically more a motel than an backpacker .. And try out the breakfast too .. served by her husband in the coffee shop. 2 hours disappear :-) easily . And the recommendations what to see ... Supe

Staff communicated very well before my arrival to sort out my booking and offer something suitable. The owner gets up to open the adjacent cafe and offer 'real' espresso coffee to those catching the 5 am bus to the ferry terminal for the Prince Rupert sailing at 0730. Not a money maker but a much appreciated service.

I thought that this was really awesome. I had some troble sleeping at first since I'm not used to sleep in the same room as others, but when I changed for a private one it was so luxurious. Even the honeysmell of the soap. I loved the design and that the kitchen was so fresh. And the bog windows displaying the mountains was such a great deal. -

Massive communal kitchen with plenty of space to cook & store food. Delicious meals at the cafe. Very friendly staff. Bus stop right outside the front door.

Geoffrey, who runs Alpine Lodge made sure all my needs were met and made my first time staying there comfortable. He even found me some breakfast even though I had slept past the regular meal time. The place was gorgeous, and I am very glad I chose this while attending a wedding over the weekend.

It was honestly better than any of the whistler hotel experiences I've had in the past. -
The staff and owner are lovely friendly people, the building is gorgeous and was built by the owner. Beds are comfy, facilities are good and its warm. You probably won't find anything thats that good for the money anywhere else in Whistler. I met some really cool people staying there and had a lot of fun with them on the mountain too. All in all the best hostel I have stayed in and I will definitely stay again and recommend it to my friends.
