Nice rooms with well-utilized space. Bliss products were awesome. The gym was one of the best non-resort hotel gyms I've used. The Quench Happy Hour was awesome. Good prices and one of the BEST spicy tuna rolls I've had for only $7/ea. I actually went back to the W for Happy Hour the next week when I stayed across the street. The parking was extremely expensive but there is a garage a couple blocks away that isn't too bad. Nothing, all good. Slow service in the lobby bar No food served after 12AM in bar. no complaints. The service was very slow in the lounge, it took a while for someone to come take our drink orders. Didn't care for the elevator security! It was difficult to get the room key to read, and heard a lot of guests complain. No coffee maker in room!. Beds and pillows were too soft. No free wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby. We did not like that we couldnt get big car to the airport as we got from the airport we were seven people.I didnt like that there are no coffie maschine in the room. The hotel didn't have any shuttle service and the personnel didn't have accurate information about the Seatac airport shuttle. Not a pick up location for shuttle to airport. Closest convenience store is 8 blocks away. They charge $$$ for everything: parking, wifi @ $5/hr, bottled water in your room. Fruity soaps make you smell like cleaning supplies. No spa or jacuzzi. Bathroom was too small. Sterile reception. nothing. The price charged for the parking was horrible! The price for the room was overpriced. The place looks like it's out of it's glory days. No longer a cutting edge hotel. Preferance would be to park my own car. Wifi was extremely expensive. Should be free these days. The taxes! Using your room key in the lift were causing issues for many of the guests. Lighting in the room was not good, to dark.z. rooms were abit run own, tiles were broken in bathroom, paint on walls were rough and scratched, funiture was in very rough shape, no pool. No one answered phone for service. Ended up phoning a second number and was told we should be phoning the first number. Everything was an extra charge. No parking options, expensive. Room not cleaned till late in the afternoon. When I booked the room it said I would have a city view.. the views I had were of the buildings. The front desk lady said they dont really have city view due to all the buildings around the W. False Advertisement! The king bed was a Queen which we paid for a City View King Room. Very disappointing. The concierge wasnt too friendly over the phone or in person. Cheesy "car service" No pool or spa. Very expensive place to stay with few amenities. Love the Austin, TX property. Seattle pales in comparison. The room was not worth the money paid. Terrible layout. Not even a coffee press in the room. Paid a lot of money for nothing. The staff at the front desk was a little snotty and I did not get a sense of urgency from them. However the night crew was very relaxed and informative, if they could only teach the day crew how to treat customers. no coffee in the room, poor parking experience. The bathroom facilities did not meet our expectations. The towels are old and rough, no place to hang them except on shower curtain rod and the amenities are not 5 star at all. Quite a disappointment. No free wifi access inside room inspite of high room rate charged. The booking (made via letsbookhotel.com) was cancelled on arrival. letsbookhotel.com staff had to be called, and the whole thing took about 45 minutes to resolve, and this was at mid-nite. Not nice! The rooms dont have good curtains (only blinds) and light comes in very early. If you are a light sleeper, or need a dark room to sleep like me, do not stay here. The room was small no coffee pot micro or refrigerator. Everything that was in there for sale. We won't be going back to the W. Our room was overlooking the parking garage, and the blinds were insufficient to block out the lights that were on all night. We had to hang towels over the blinds to make the room dark enough to sleep in. Understandable that not every room can have a view, but at least give proper window coverings to block out the view!. even though i made my reservation 2 months in advance, my corner room (providing two views) had worse than no view, but rather two views of two parking structures.
