Seattle Hotels

The staff was terrific, The bed was wonderful. The room was impeccable. The concierge desk was most helpful. The rate was a bargain. We had a reasonable walk to most downtown attractions (market, dining, vistas, access). What more can one ask for first-time visitors to Seattle on an anniversary trip? - George

Having read some of the previous reviews of this Travelodge my wife and I approached it with some reservations. Our room had recently been refurbished and had the largest and most comfortable bed we had ever slept in, in hotels or at home! The reception staff were helpful and polite, and we didn't have to ask for the $10 parking permit. The complimentary breakfast was just fine. For all but Americans (who don't seem to like walking) the motel's position suited us perfectly. We walked into do - Samantha

Great room for $69 via Priceline. Excellent room with a view! Would definitely stay here again. Close to everything downtown. However, parking was OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive-$36/day. - Donald

Stayed in a king suite on Halloween. Wonderful room and view but the bathroom was TINY. Not a great use of space. Was double charged for items from mini bar, which we noticed after we already had been given our reciept upon checkout....seemed a little odd to me. Parking was a little steep...$35 a night. - Joanne

We took our kids on our honeymoon with us! The W was perfect. Our rooms offered phonomenal views. We were centrally located so the kids could take a $10.00 cab ride to the ballgame and we could all walk to Pikes Market. We even walked to the Space Needle and EMP. The hotel is extremely clean and modern, we felt special the minute we walked in the door.The staff was MORE than pleasant and helpful. This was a trip to remember. Thank you W!!!! - Neil

A small, basic but well-run business hotel. The standard room is just big enough for one person. But the room is clean and pleasant, the bed was great --pillows too- and the large flat showerhead feels like a gentle rain. Nice large-screen TV, AC/heat worked great. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Locale was very convenient for my purposes --close to the conference I was attending (but MANY dollars cheaper) and in a safe area so I walked back and forth daily. We stayed here for one night before our cruise to Alaska. We have never been to Seattle before and was surprised to see how expensive it was for a hotel room here. We saw the Sixth Ave inn on a website and liked the price. We decided to take a chance since it was for only one night. We were so pleasantly surprised! I chose the Inn at Harbor steps for it's location for a trip to Vancouver Island and the Olypic peninsula coming from germany. We arrived early in the evening, and we were stunned when we saw, how big the room actually was. It was only for one night, so we took our spare baggage to the reception, we had to leave quite early the next morning, so we could not taste the breakfast. Whewn we came back two weeks later, the baggage, we had left here, was already brought to our room...( never experience - Lynda

I am not sure if there was a change in management and/or owners but the changes that have been made have made a huge positive difference in this hotel. The outside landscaping is beautiful and the hallways look brand new. The staff is very helpful and friendly and always had a positive attitude. - Steven
