Shuttle was convenient, available and timely. Free Breakfast was delicious, fresh and served up by a very friendly lady! Pool was clean and centrally located. Location to downtown Seattle was great, walking to University Ave with lots of shops and restaurants was very accessible. Coffee/Tea/Cupcakes in the afternoon - nice treat! Free parking and plenty of it! Price for all that you get is phenomenal! Great vacation was had by the whole family; including 2 teenagers and a 7 year old.
all reviews » I like that they have a shuttle that takes you downtown or a destination nearby...and they come and pick you up. They are always on time, with personnel that are knowledgeable (except how to get to the freeway) and friendly, it is close to the University - you can walk to many places. There is breakfast and Tullys Coffee in the room. You save on parking because you can walk or take a shuttle. It feels like home,. Loved the decor & ambience. The youthful staff was helpful, patient and pleasantly energetic. The parking was a little crowded at times, sharing with a restaurant and students. Not sure what you can do about that, except maybe mention that to customers at check-in. This hotel is very clean and very comfortable. Loved the choice of pillows and the crispness of the linens. The shuttle service, which we used, is a fabulous bonus with friendly drivers and ran right on schedule. The staff on all levels are awesome!. Staff was super friendly and helpful; they accommodated all of our requests. Great breakfast, free wifi, pool and parking on site. Rooms were super comfortable and clean and modern looking. I definitely recommend this hotel. Our stay was perfect. Close proximity to University of Washington. The pool, the breakfast, the tea & cupcakes in the afternoon, the shuttle service, the parking, the modern style, the recycling trash can, the reception staff. The hotel is conveniently located to the U district, Capital Hill and downtown. Very clean, cupcakes were delicious and staff very friendly. During the power outage everything was smooth. Very nice visit. it was pretty reasonable and close to my sister's house, which was the purpose of my visit to seattle. i ate at portage bay cafe for breakfast and it was good. the staff was super friendly. location! Overall it was a clean room, except for cigarette smoke smell. Our room was in the rear facing parking lot, much quieter than rooms facing street. Comfortable bed. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating; the bedding was quite nice, very comfortable beds, I liked having a Keurig in the room and free parking on the premises was great. I was amazed at how clean the room we stayed in was. We were close to everything we wanted to see and do. Great stay. We would definitely come back. Liked the vintage look and feel. The only thing that I would recommend is adding another couple of tables in the dining area for the breakfast rush. You have seating for about 28 and whether we came at 8am, 9am or 9:30 it was very crowded and our family of 4-5 could never get seating together. At most 2 of us could sit together on occasion. There appears to be room to comfortably add another couple of 4 tops and maybe remove them after the 6am-10am breakfast is over. It is just a bit expensive. The small room safe-would not accommodate a large lap top computer. The waste of water in the morning when running the shower waiting for the hot water to arrive. The housekeeping service- a towel (even when it was hung up & not placed on the floor) or mug would be removed but not replaced. it was a little loud. i could here kids runny through the halls and a dog barking in the room across from me. Parking lot fills up quickly. Sometimes, there are no parking spaces available, having to park on street. Sharing the parking lot with busy Portage Bay Cafe creates competition for parking. Noisy neighbor above us. Breakfast bar not well designed, though we were happy to have it. Parking lot is tight. Hotel was supposed to be non-smoking, but ours smelled like cigarette smoke the entire 5-day period. Air conditioner was very, very noisy. Overall, I had no complaints. Thank you!. I can't think of anything that we didn't like. Cleanliness of room needed improving. Found hair in the bathroom, a stained towel and the bedspread was also stained. Distance from seattle centre. the price could be lower for the hotel of this level and likely dictated by the proximity to UW. Variety of breakfast. nothing. The location is a little far from city but we chose this hotel before leaving Seattle next day. Lack of complimentary shuttle service. The breakfast need to be improved with some hot option. breakfast could have been better. Neither room nor front desk had bottle opener. Expensive...just wanted a place to sleep, but paid for breakfast and "Luxuries"we didn't want or request. I have white hair and hate shampoo that has unnecessary yellow dye. Breakfast is just ok; not very bad, but not outstanding by any means. Without own transportation the location in the university area of Seattle can be a prob. Nothing really. More vegan and non mild choices for breakfast. Parking - lot gets full quickly Parking spaces are tight - not ideal for full sized car or SUV,Van. none. We were not really aware that we had not paid before we left. My husband paid as a gift on his credit card which caused problems when we arrived as we could not authorise. This was a problem with letsbookhotel.com and not the hotel. The water temp in the shower was extremely hard to adjust. The water was either hot or cold. Ended up taking a way hotter shower than we like. Would be nice to have a small refrigerator and microwave in the room for our leftovers from seattle's yummy restaurants.
