Very nice & welcoming place, friendly and very helpful staff. We had a problem with our (shared) bathroom - we were moved to a different (bigger) room for free without any discussions. Every room is different (we got a little tour at our departure), we felt very comfortable during our stay. Breakfast was big and tasty. Bus stop is just a 1 minute walk away, 15 minute ride to the food market downtown.
all reviews » The neighbourhood is perfect! The immediate area is very safe and walkable with beautiful old mansions and peekaboo views of downtown and the Olympic Mountains. Broadway is an easy 3-minute walk with no hills. The room was enormous and tastefully appointed with very comfortable beds. A rare hotel experience where truly everything is good to perfect. Nice, very clean rooms, friendly and helpful owner, good breakfast, very nicely situated in beautiful street. Downtown easily accessible by foot or bus. Located in a quiet street but in walking distance form Broadway, one of the best little shopping/eating/bar areas of Seattle... The hosts were great too! All in all 5 Stars!. Cozy environments. excellent house, everything is good. Every thing. all, a bite old. A centralized, self-serve coffee station would have been nice. Only thing possible for improvement is the bed in the second room we stayed in(later during our holiday), as it was a bit too soft. Couldn't think of anything else,. There was nothing to dislike. This type of room as loft is packed for tall guys due to its triangle ceiling. Cabin room has steep pitched ceiling which made getting in and out of bed tricky. breakfast is a bit light. That there was no coffee until 7:30, would have liked it at 6:30. And not enough!!! A regular breakfast would be nice also. Piglike noiseswhen walking in the stairs - scary! I would have preferred soft candies in the bowls. Small things. Nothing. The Iris Room should be advertised for one person occupancy only :-). a little expensive.
