It was kind of retro and sparse but we had everything we needed. I like the shampoo choice, my fav. Bed was comfy and bath area was very clean. Small shower but quick hot water. Winchells across the street for a great cup of coffee and quick donut for breakfast. I needed a safe, clean bed near the airport, and this fit the bill. It was was pretty good, considering the outrageous cost of other hotels in this upscale area. The manager was very friendly and helpful. It is a very basic, older motel.
all reviews » The price was incredibly low and the staff was very friendly. It's about 15 minutes from the San Diego Zoo and Sea World. It's about 5 minutes from Ocean Beach. There is a McDonalds, Dennys, and other restaurants nearby. Great location and staff were very nice. staff is very nice and helpful. TV Shower and Internet!. Everything. It's a nice place to stay, good location- near airport, owner is very kind and ready to help if you need anything. Very basic, but its a room and a bed which is all I needed. Wifi worked very well,room was pretty clean only had to kill one spider. Would have appreciated a dead bolt or some sort of additional security, only had a locked door to rely on.I would stay there again tho as it was very close to a lot of things and very easy to find. Nice family that ran the place. Room were clean and the rates are super cheap and in a good location. It was walking distance to starbucks!!!. You get what you pay for. The outside was a little rough, rooms were small and basic. If you are looking for a cheap place to lay your head for the night, this is fine. Location. Not the best, but for one night ok. Close to Seaworld. Friendly staff, very helpful. Full kitchen. It's cheap. nothing at all other than the fact it was close to dining. Nothing at all. The door lock did no make me feel secure but it did have the dead bolt. Small shower. Towels a bit scratchy but there were plenty. It is an old motel but with tv , fridge and microwave, it had everything. The sound of traffic is clearly audible, but this would be true for all roadside hotels, not just this one. If you need total silence, this is not it. I would not come here with high maintenance people that need luxury. The outside wasn't very nice but it didn't really matter. Not very pretty. Nothing. No additional door security, only a locked door handle. A deadbolt would've been a little more reassuring. Its a older facility and didn't have a heater. Just remember how cheap it is and don't expect much. Motel is in semi-disrepair but for $56, it does the job. Poor wifi. Shower head at shoulder level. Found different black hairs in the bed.. for sure not mine. Bed Bugs. stayed one night and got bed bug bites all over me. Horrible staff, very nosy and in your business about everything, tried overcharging me, horrible experience! Never again will I stay there again. Id rather sleep on the sidewalk. The Motel didn't had Internet. It was so loud (because of bad windows) that I couldn't sleep without ear sticks. It was dirty (e.g. hairs in the bathroom). Constructional failures (Showerdoor wasn't closing right). the staff the entire room no wifi when they said there was and not even a phone, the whole stay. in the middle of the night while I slept I woke up in the middle of the night to bugs bitting my neck. there was bed bugs on my pillow. I jump to the other bed stayig on top of the sheets this time. Once again I woke up to bugs bitting me I took pictures and video this time, plus i called the front desk. thinking the manager would do something about it. All he said was he never heard of such thing before. I sat in a chair until it 9:00am.
