Excellent location, especially if you're driving: right off the freeway, yet walking distance to Downtown and Gaslamp, also just a short bus ride to Balboa Park (#7). Comfortable room with modern facilities. All clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Free car park (space was a little tight, but managed excellently by the staff) and Wi-Fi (in-room coverage not superb but possible to use). all reviews » The room was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The TV was modern, sound and picture good. There was a small table so I was able to work for several hours quite comfortably. I observed at least a half-dozen fast food restaurants and one upscale restaurant and a couple of take-outs, all within a half-dozen blocks. The heart of downtown San Diego is within 15 minutes walking distance. Good location in the city center, if you like walking you can go up to the zoo or downtown to the Midway. Good value price for young people looking for a cheap accomodation. Some noise from other guests could be heard (this was perhaps because of full occupancy at the time we stayed there, and is typical with most motels in such circumstances). One or two towels should probably be disposed of due to unwashable stains or wear. With busy streets all around it was a bit noisy in the rush hours, but one rather expects that, so I do not consider it a defect. Quite Noisy in the day time but that's in the city center so it is always a bit loud. No coffee or tea in the morning. it was very noisy - on a busy road, on the flight path too. Location is good, just some homeless around but it shouldn't be a problem. Limited parking. But it was free. We were allocated the disabled room and the shower did not suit able-bodied persons. From behavior of the staff I had a strange feeling, as if we disturbed her or she frightened us. a little noise from road. Felt kind of dirty. No closet. But still not a bad price for location. Although the motel is very close to downtown, it's not in the best neighborhood... many homeless people, etc. Alot of street noise the air condition do not work well room always warm if windows open street noise was even worst. location felt unsafe. everything else. They were rude(owners). check-out was at 11.00 and they called my room at 10.00 saying we needed to go now. Ive got bits on one leg from fleas?I wore my pants to bed.Im extremly allergic to fleas.We were very clean and didnt disturb anyone. what was their proublem?. The facility itself was extremely dirty. My friend and I went to lay on the bed only to find out it smelled like body odor. There was no iron, blow dryer, nothing. There were however lots and lots of nats! We didn't even shower there because we were afraid of getting fungus. Noise, a road is just in front of the loge. Everything in the room was old, even the bed spread had hols on it. The room awefully smelled and it was dirty.
