I enjoyed the comfort of the hotel. It was less than 15mins away from the airport and the downtown area in a cab.We came for the Budweiser Made In America Fest. Also its near the expressway so cabs get you these in no time. If you call 3 hours ahead of your check out the shuttle will take you to the airport. I thought the hotel would be far from Center City but it was very convenient to the city and virtually all of Philly (if you have a car). I stayed at the hotel during a popular time but I didn't run into any issues with checking-in or my room. Staff was very friendly and polite. I was certainly recommend.
all reviews » The convenience of going to the ballpark while staying at the Holiday Inn Stadium was perfect! Friendly and helpfull staff, particularly at the front desk and in the restaurant/bar. Also the shuttle was wonderful and the shuttle driver was quite informative regarding the Philly area. Hotel is newly renovated and has a fantastic lobby, restaurant and very nice rooms. Great value for the price we paid. The area is great right beside the Phillies stadium and only a short drive or a few metro stations away from down town Philadelphia. The non smoking rooms. I am a smoker, but do not smoke in my hotel room. The room was clean! Nice for a long days travel. The staff on check-in and check-out were very polite and courteous. Nice big parking lot, very clean rooms, comfortable beds. Free WiFi worked great in our rooms. If we were here for a sporting event or concert, this would be the perfect location to stay!. fairly new hotel undergoing some lobby renovation as of march 2013. Just 5 minutes up Broad St to the Melrose Diner for good food in large portions!. The hotel lobby was beautiful and the hotel staff was very friendly. We went to a concert at CBP and it was very convenient. The place was great, very clean and the beds were really comfortable. No real complaints. No airport pick up. Our bathroom sink had a couple of issues, nothing too major. Whenever maintenance came to fix it, the problem continued after they left. No continental breakfast. The bathroom. You had to close the door to be able to access the shower. Should have been better thought out. We were staying to explore Philadelphia, not to go to a concert or sports game. So it was probably a 20 minute walk to the subway. I wish that breakfast was included, but the restaurant service was terrible, the server had a bad attitude and it took forever for my pancakes to arrive. Not much service. About 10 minutes drive from center city (but go 5 minutes up Broad St to the Melrose Diner for good food in large portions!). Nothing. The internet would not work properly the second night we were there. there was only one trash can in the room. A room this size should have at least 3 trash cans. There is no snack machines. Breakfast not included in the price. The sprinklers in our room going off as we were unpacking before the game and had to leave unexpectedly. We also encountered humidifiers running constantly through the night right outside our bedroom door. room smaller than expected. no van service to the arena . Expensive. The shower in the bathroom had major issues with the shower head and drainage causing everything in the bathroom to get wet (floor, towels, toilet paper etc. Reported to front desk upon departure. Hair dryer was falling off the wall. If you don't want to watch sports, this hotel is probably not the right one for you. (Except if you have a car). I went to open the curtains to look at the city and there were tons of dirty kiss marks all over the window! The bathroom also had a dirty mirror. The room smelled very musty. They also charged more to my card then they were suppose to. Aside from those minor things, we had a good trip. $275 per night is a lot when it kind of a plain jane hotel. Its a drive into the city, so i dkbt understand the higher end price per night. No continental breakfast even though signs are posted for it. Breakfast server was horrible. Messed up on several items during the dining process. May stay at the hotel again but certainly WILL NOT BE EATING THERE!. -loin du centre ville. Long way from centre of Philadelphia (although shortish walk to metro). Bar/restaurant under construction. Restaurant was terrible. Service in restaurant was , worse than terrible. Overall. Way too much money for what we received. Lots of people in and out of there rooms all hours of the night being loud and slamming doors. Room next us were smoking pot could smell it mile away. All it was a good trip but sleeping was horrible that night. Somewhat shabby room, housekeeping came knocking on the door at 8:30 A.M. while we were sleeping. I booked my stay for $175 on letsbookhotel.com. Then I was billed $201 from the hotel. The price was outragous for what the hotel offered. At best this is a $200.00 per night facility. 1) hotel staff did not allow cancellation of the room even though a call was placed within 1-hr of the reservation once I noticed the hotel address was different than the one I needed. 2) staff did not allow placement of a cot in the room even though this was explained on the phone and ok by phone staff. 3) the service at the restaurant was horrible! Food was disgusting. No sound proof The room is not dark when u close the curtain.
