The staff were great & our 5th floor maid, Ruth, was very friendly & professional. No smoking rooms, but, there are ash trays provided outside on every balcony for you. Our efficiency was fully stocked with silverware, dishes, glasses, coffee maker, full size fridge, stove/range, & microwave oven, even dish soap! Very clean place & no insects! We had a nice view of the ocean from our room, too! letsbookhotel.com gives the best prices, too! I had compared prices on other web site.
all reviews » This hotel has an excellent location close to the beach and boardwalk. It is on the north side of the boardwalk, so it is quiet and away from the main part of it, which is nice (especially at night). Staff was very friendly. Hotel has some wear and tear (it is old, like most hotels in oc) but overall clean. We didn't spend a lot if time in our room anyway. The size of the room (we had two double beds only) was average. I got an excellent discounted price, making the hotel an excellent value wit. The room was very clean with stove, coffee maker, full size refrigerator, hair dryer. The view was of the ocean, city, and the bay. Customer service and maid very pleasant. The pool was very nice and clean. If you want to use the WiFi, you need to ask for password at desk, even though the site reads they don't have it. Just walking distance to the boardwalk, beach and shopping. We had a wonderful time! Ask for the 5th floor for the great view!. Great place, great location. We traveled with 5 kids ages 4-12 and had a great time. Staff was very friendly. The hotel was very quiet at night. We appreciated that. The cafe next door was great. And the room was a great size. The room we stayed in had a distant ocean view, which was a bonus we didn't expect. Of course price but overall locarion,location,location...Literally a stones throw from the beach and boardwalk. We took full advantage of the hotels great location. Nightime strolls to one of the nearby miniature golf courses and DQ ice cream afterwards ! #cantaskformore. The front desk and cleaning services were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our apartment was spacious and the kitchen was all of necessary for cook. The parking is just in front to the Hotel. You can walk to the beach because is so close to the Hotel. - Room Cleanliness - Fast check-in/check-out - Linen supply - Close to the beach - Availability of kitchen supplies(stove, refrigerator, coffee maker, utensils, glasses, etc.). The employees of the hotel are very friendly, the location is perfect (just a few steps from the beach) and the rooms are very clean and spacious. The elevator wasnt always working.The area surrounding the pool is small. Wifi sucks. n/a. The only thing I dont like is because They don't have any space to make some BBQ. The only thing I didn't like was the room color, it was a seafoam blue type color. That to say, if that's the only thing I didn't like, this place is definitely a revisit. Had to walk around the building to access the beach. But not bad at all. Early morning trash trucks in alley. Not hotels fault. The beds were small. I didn't like spending so much, but that was partly my fault for waiting so long to book. The beds could use some new mattresses and replace carpet that is warn to pergo floors. But you can tell they have been redoing this facility. Bathrooms already updated and clean. There was nothing I didn't like. Boardwalk light was shining in eyes in morning (kept curtains open to see ocean all night). Corrected by hanging towel over rail!. The kitchen appliances were a bit out of date and seemed to be on their last legs, making awful sounds. Elevator was slow and small. But not a big issue. The elevator was very slow and small and there were very few luggage carts. The TV could be upgraded. the first day we got there we didn't have any coffee packets. the size of the pool....check in at 3pm and check out before 11am. just not enough time to even get a full 24 hrs in the hotel room. Parking lot was small hard to park in. Was glad when we could park on street. Elevator was broke. About a mile from the boardwalk activities but there are trams constantly. I didnt like the staff. Low water pressure....Linens weren't changed in a 4 night stay.....Undrinkable coffee in the room....unsanitary coffee cups.... Small elevator, no kiddie pool. No internet. it was not an ocean view..it end up being pool view. I thought I was getting ocean view even if it was going to be a partly ocean view room. not having wifi for me to use my lap top. very thin walls, overall appearance could use some updating, parking was very tight/not enough spaces and was across the street. bed was too hard. there was nothing that I didn't like. No WiFi or other computer access and they need to have more luggage carts available. It is a trivial thing, but waiting for something when you first arrive or when you're rushing to leave is annoying and can damped the entire experience. Much younger crowd during our stay. "Changing room" was just a 5x5 cell with a toilet and it was very dirty.
