It was centrally located and the rooms were clean and nice. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Traveled w/ friends who check-in the day before and the hotel was able to get us rooms next to each other. We had double bed rooms and being a NYC hotel, the space was more than I expected, however, closet space was almost non-existent. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it.
all reviews » We really enjoyed staying at South Park Hotel, and would stay there again without hesitation. The room was very confortable and clean, the staff were helpful and polite. It is in a great location too, slightly away from the crazy tourist part of the city, but you could still walk to these if you wished - but within easy reach of some great bars and restaurants on Lexington and 3rd Ave etc.Excellent location - short walk to most of the major Manhattan attractions and has access to the subway at the end of the street. Room was comfortable and very clean, quite small but pertfectly fine for a short stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. We didn't eat at the Black Duck next door but it was a great place to have a drink before/after going out for the evening. This hotel was in a great location for all the major sightseeing tripsin new york.great breakfast, staff very friendly, a great bar forevenings and also a great restaurant, did I mention very clean too.Would recommend to anyone travelling to ny.The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. It's very clean. Our room was a good size. Very quiet. There was a small fridge which was great for storing water and fruit. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. I don't like using a hotel's car service due to bad experience, and the bell hop still tried to convince me to use a car service instead of a yellow cab--I know they get kick-backs and I wish they would refrain from pushing a car service on the hotel patrons. I was a little upset by the additional charges when checking out. Thelisted price was deceptive. We stayed for three nights and the total wasaround 200. more than price given/. We called for room service and waited almost 10 minutes for someone from the restaurant to pick up the call. We were then told they would call us back and the gentleman who called was rushed and rude. A suggestion might be to have more people in the restaurant on staff for busy nights. Hotel was fantastic but i thought the rooms were a little small. Room was a little warm!. Did not like the fact that there was no public telephone in the hotel as it cost me alot to call ireland from room phone.No small coffee machine inside the room, air Conditioning noise coming from the outside, rooms are a little bit small but it seems to be the case in all New york's hotel. The noise from the radiator was a little off putting but nothing major.
