Was my first time at a Four Points Sheraton. I signed up for a frequent visitor card. I thought the free water bottles in the room were an excellent touch, also the free hot apple cider in the lobby was great. Similarly, while I did not personally take advantage of it, I loved the idea of the $5 reimbursement if you did not utilize housekeeping service. Very smart. In my upcoming travel to nyc and other cities, I will now always try to stay at a Four Points Shertaon.
all reviews » The front desk girls were amazing .... very happy and extremely helpful. We had room 1601 (on the 16th floor) and had a view of the Empire State Building which was fab. The hotel was very quite at night .... just what we wanted. We would definitely stay at this hotel again and recommend it to friends/family. For the money, it far exceeded our expectations. Greenwich and Soho are literally on the doorstep, so great for eating and shopping. The staff was excellent. The location was easy to find and a quick cab ride to some great shopping and dining. I asked about local movie theaters and the staff brought to our room a print out of area theaters and the timetables. Free coffee and newspaper in lobby, HBO in rooms.Our room was small but clean and the bathroom was new. Good location close to subway. Rooms smallish but considering its NY they are very good - clean and great bathroom. Soap, shampoo and conditioner in shower. Coffee in rooms and in lobby. Rooms pretty quiet, only heard a bit of road noise - again its NY! We couldn't hear neighbours or hallway noise. A/C & Heating. Hotel ran out of double beds rooms and upgraded us to the Penthouse Suite. Obviously did not need to do that but genuinely cared for their guests. Hotel was above and beyond our expectations. Used language like Good Evening Mr and Mrs and called us when in room to see if we needed anything for the night... We had enough room for the four of us considering that we were in New York and sometimes rooms are small. That was the case here. Also the room was clean, modern and practical. View was not bad (12th floor). Front desk was helpful and responded quickly to a problem we had with our window. The staff was amazing, always nice and friendly. The location is great for SOHO, slightly outside of the main area, but very accessible. Easy site to catch cabs if you walk down one block. The beds were super comfy and the room was very clean. I would absolutely stay there again. Staff was overall attentive, arrival and departure were a breeze. The room was very serviceable, although small it had a smartly placed desk with a ton of plugs (for all i-devices and laptops, mobile phones, etc.) Big 42 inch screen, complimentary coffee and water bottles. Friendly, helpfull staff who upgraded our room and sent up a complementary bottle of prosecco when I informed them I was proposing to my girlfriend that night. Decent view from 18th floor, good location in the village. Room and bed was excellent, good shower/bath. Patricia, the employee that welcomed us to the hotel, was wonderful, and went way out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed! It's nearby the 1 train (Houston stop) which made getting around easy. Also, the General Manger was very friendly and smiley. The restaurant. Wish staff would've been sincere with the breakfast recommendation (they mentioned the closest place was 2 blocks away, it was actually on the same block, on the corner of Varick St.) Questionable insulation; if the heater was off, the room immediately got cold (early March weather). Steep prices, but i guess thats New York, so you cant really blame the hotel for that. Everything was great!. Nothing. Very happy, so this is nitpicking: 1) Slightly slow elevators, though serving a lot of floors 2) Room had a gorgeous view inc Empire State bldg, but it seemed many rooms had no windows at all 3) Batteries in TV remote were dead. (I know, I'm scraping here!) 4) No fridges in room, but we just used ice from the basement to chill our beer. Not a big problem, but the bathroom floor and sink area seemed to get very wet after using the wash basin so had to use a hand towel to keep dry. Rooms are small, but it's New York. Spring for the city view if you can, our friends room had a view of an air conditioner. Only issue--one of only two elevators broke while we were there. Service to the 16th floor was a bit of a wait. But they actually fixed it pretty quickly, so no real harm done. N/a. The hallways were a little worn and lacked AC. Also, the slightly opaque bathroom door was a bit awkward as you could see the inhabitant's silhouette like in some Alfred Hitchcock movie. The breakfast served at the same restaurant. Very expensive for what it offers. Not exactly Soho - 2 blocks away, but still a great location. Very quiet at night which was great. No complaints at all!. 1. Room was a bit small but having said that, it was comfortable 2. Lift's were really too slow!!. Door in bathroom was opaque and if you were sleeping the light from the bathroom lit up the room. Small room. There are no negatives. Not yet. Nothing comes to mind. Very small beds for 2 people to share. The coffee maker in my room didn't work, and I didn't realize this until the morning of my departure. Nothing major, but it was a bummer at the time. I just went downstairs to the lobby and got a cup there. Told the manager about it when I checked out and she had a maintenance person on it stat. Only two slow elevators serving 21 floors. Breakfast at restaurant was weak. Tiny lobby, so not a gathering spot for friends/family. Recommend high floor. New Yorkers seem to honk any chance they get!. I booked a room for 4 but only received 2 complimentary bottles of water and only 2 cups with the coffee machine. The affiliated restaurant has a painfully slow service. It is not efficient enough for, say, breakfast. Room size was too small. The Double bed room was too small for a 4 member family. Vehicle Parking arrangement is unsuitable and too expensive. Unlike many hotels, microwave and fridge are for an additional charge. Noise from adjacent building air conditioner units. Room was too warm at night and the cool fan was too loud Room could do with a mini fridge. being close to the elevator. I wish that rooms were bigger. Minor issue. Had breakfast one morning in the hotel and wasn't good. Saved by an outstanding local restaurant which had amazing food, staff and value for money. -the room, bathroom, and beds (two doubles) were very small -the cost of the room was exorbitant ($367/day after taxes were added in) -no mini-fridge in room -the beds were not particularly comfortable. Very noisy door slamming and airconditioning. Bathroom door should not be frosted, it should be solid do as not to wake up person. The bar was tiny so it could be difficult to get a seat. Small room (like most hotels in Manhatan) Noisy air conditioning. The smell (parfum spray) in the lobby. The AC that was off still made noise. The room was on the third floor, with a window on some kind of inner courtyard, and we heard loud music playing for part of the night. None. The lighting in the bathroom.
