We loved the neighborhood, which is a few blocks of low key housing and inexpensive restaurant options. Miami Beach is mostly crowded with high rise hotels but The New Hotel is situated in a mellower area. The courtyard of the hotel was relaxing to hang out in and the beach was just a block away. The hotel offers free use of old beach cruiser bicycles which were fun to use while exploring. The staff are friendly and at night Lou's Beer Garden in the courtyard is a fun spot to have right at your. all reviews »
Big modern room. Clean. Towels were changed every day which is very
convenient! Otherwise they will not dry out. During 5 days staying a bed
linen was changed 3 times (also good)! Personnel is very friendly. There
are only few minutes walking to the beach (2 blocks). Food and choice of
the beer and spirirts at the bar are very good.
The hotel was lovely - my room was modern, clean and comfortable, and the service was very friendly and helpful. I felt very welcome there. Extra points for the wonderful beer garden with its unique beers and top quality food! Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable.

enjoyed the free use of the bikes. Manager was very helpful. Bathroom

I always appreciate complimentary drinks at check in. The hotel was modest, yet comfortable. It was exactly what we expected and convenient to South Beach.
The couple that owned it were great. I love seeing a young couple

Location.
For those who care with sleeping it might be loud till 1-2 am (music at
the bar). There are not enough shelves (actually no shelves) and hooks
in the bathroom to put everything convenient. There is no facility to
put wet clothes to dry it after a swiming.
That we couldn't stay longer.
Decor was rather spartan, but it was up-dated. Our refrigerator did not
work, but they allowed us to use the manager's fridg. Room would be
more functional with another mirror over the sink. There was also no
safe and no clock in the room.
Could do with more places to hang clothes in bathroom.
I can't think of anything we didn't like. We had read plenty p reviews so we weren't expecting anything ultra luxurious. That said this hotel was comfortable, clean, and a good value.
Cheap shower fixtures. The value to turn water on poor quality. Took a
while for hot water to start.
If you want to go sleep earlier you may have problem with music
outside...but not every room.

Humidity (iguess unavoidable withought expensive air conditioning system).
it is small. its basically a place for drinks by the pool, and a bit overpriced. if they lowered the prices i would go again!.

Room was damp. All my clothes in luggage became damp. Refrigerator did not work. Noise from bar made it difficult to sleep.
We got a disable room, which is would not be a problem, but it is next to a public restroom, so everybody from the bar came to there all night.
Upstairs the guests were loud and the A/C was like an airplane. It's noise did not let us to sleep.
So next day we were more tired when we arrived... And it was not a good deal for us, because we spent only one night here to take a rest before we travel to Orlando. :(.
