Welcome To Miami. Stayed At The James With My Daughter For A Sweet 16 Getaway From The Cold And Snow In NY. Had A Great Time. Pleasant Everything; Staff, Food, Service, Room, Views, Amenities. Hotel Is Modern And Trendy. Short Walk To Beach. Centrally Located To Ocean Drive, Restaurants, And Shopping. letsbookhotel.com And The James Honored A Lower Rate After Booking. Happy Holidays. Everything was wonderful. The hotel is very modern, the rooms have brand new furniture. The staff is very friendly and they pay a lot of attention to detail. The rooms and facilities are very clean and perfectly maintained. I would definitely recommend the hotel and go back there anytime. The beach is great and the pool area is exquisite. The hotel is very close to Ocean Drive.
all reviews » This was our 3rd year staying at this hotel. Last year it was under renovations. We were extremely happy with all the updates from the onsite spa to the plunge pool (hot tub). The staff were all attentive and helpful. Hotel's location is really good - it is situated almost at Ocean Drive, but you don't hear loud music every night. The beachside is very clean, beach staff is neat and helpful. Complimentary WiFi is great. The location is really good.All main shops and restaurants in 5 min.Good service on the beach.They bring fruits,berries and water.Guys on the beach are always ready to help. CLEAN, Beachfront, DECOR, Organic Products, Gift Shop, Proximity to ALL beaches, restaurants, museums, shopping, CHEERFUL, yet CLASSY, STAFF was the BEST ever!. Excellent hotel, young staff providing very good and friendly service. Clean rooms, swimming pool and beach facilities are great. We had a wonderful time, the hotel is ultra cool Art Deco, great food and the staff are charming, very upbeat and friendly. The windows needed to be cleaned. The $21. Extra "resort fee" to use the beach chairs, bikes, etc. just include it in the room price! I do not like to pay for extras. Not enough hanging space in the bathroom,and the bed needs fixing. Hotel was not interested in our money,or prepared to negotiate with us to keep our business to extend our stay for another two days. rooms rather small in relation to price. Booked 3 rooms, only 2 rooms was found in check in. Information between reservationistys/front desk and letsbookhotel.com is not being communicated properly!!!. Swimming pool crowded. Price. Anything!. Bookings over booked the room we wanted and we were put into smaller rooms. housekeeping had issues. Lobby is under repair. Very noicy and badly equiped presently. noisy placeNoisy room. Bathroom door didn't close keys were continuously defective parking arrival gets easily congested Staff somewhat disinterested. Our room was on the top floor and the noise from the fans was very irritating. Our bathroom began to smell of drains and although they sent some one to fix it the smell would disappear while waiting for them to arrive. Although we complained without losing our tempers or demanding a different room nothing was done and and no discount was offered. Very disappointing will not return. not good with children noise in many other rooms party, typically miami beach... stuff is not pro enough for a 5 star from concierge to bellman... Front desk staff do not find any resolution to unsatisfied customers when it is a 5 stars hotel. Concierge very rude and not helpfull. General Manager with long hair is incompetent and need training. Found the room with empty bar, complained but nothing was done. Was given a room, last one near spa with noise from ventilation system. This room needs major upgrade to meet the hotel rating. It is overrated, too expensive for what it is. Room is small although bed is comfortable. Breakfast buffet is minimal. Cannot understand how it made to the Conde Nast Hot List this year. noisy, service was bad. Most of staff in reception was half rude.. Breakfast buffe was poor. Valet parking took to long, short of staff. Hotell got "invaded" for 4 days of VERY rude rappers, who took over pools e.t.c, so the children was scared to go to pool e.t.c in the afternoon/evening, and the hotel did NOTHING!! Felt like asking for money back. No heating in room. Worst (and most expensive) hotel breakfast I ever had in my life. Given a room overlooking the parking lot despite having asked for a sea view. Hotel massively overpriced for what you get.
