While at first glance this place looked dated; it was completely upto date with internet access, flat screen tv's, frig, microwave, coffee in the room & above all this was one of the cleanest most well maintained places we have stayed. I couldn't recommend it more highly. PS-the price was also reasonable!. Clean, comfortable, quiet, roomy,mountain view,friendly staff. Two comfortable chairs for TV watching. Late check out upon request. Appliances in good working order although we had no need for refrigerator on this trip.
all reviews » The bed was probably the most comfortable of any that I have slept in on any of my travels. The mountain views were beautiful. The room was spacious. I could open the windows and screen door at night to let in cool air. The room was very clean. Nice amenities. Comfortable beds. We especially liked the overstuffed chairs in front of the TV, the chairs outside both the front door and back door. Good breakfast, too. The facility was very clean and the staff very accomodating. It is a great value for the money, and close to cross country skiing. We will definitely go there again. Thank you. We were treated like royalty by the manager Umma. She made us feel welcomed and special. I will definitely be staying there on my next trip to the area in March. The owner was as nice and helpful as she could be. We have been vacationing in Vermont for 25 years and will definitely stay at Four Winds again. Older motel that has been upgraded with very tasteful bed and furniture, as well as new bathroom and fresh paint. Very friendly owners. The rooms were spacious/more so than in many chain hotels. It was very quiet and restful. The location was good with a nice view. Very clean facility. Staff helpful. Can't beat the price- includes breakfast. Would stay there again and recommend to friends. Luckily nothing got ruined. Breakfast could be improved. worn, needs updating, over-priced. The decor is very dated. There was only a shower, not a full bath, and a very small sink. Although pictures on the web site show comfortable chairs in the rooms, our room did not have any. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. All in all, the money saved by choosing this hotel over a more expensive inn was simply not worth it. Over-priced outlet stores. Four Winds out-dated, stuck in the 50s/60s, mediocre breakfast, and annoying road noise too.
