  The 19th century charm of this inn is incredible. It's a gorgeous old estate home with unbelievable gardens and view of the Vermont mountains.   While at first glance this place looked dated; it was completely upto date with internet access, flat screen tv's, frig, microwave, coffee in the room & above all this was one of the cleanest most well maintained places we have stayed. Our room at the Toll Road was bigger, better furnished, more room amenities, fantastic view of woods, stream, and animals in pasture. He spent the entire trip going to the river at the back of the hotel to the pool. It was delightful. The grounds are lovely. The place, although old, is exceptionally clean and cared for. It's close to town and if you don't want to go to town there are several restaurants within walking distance. I loved our stay and would go back in a second.
