The owners make you feel like family. We felt right at home. Everything is kept very clean and neat. Lake Michigan is right across the road with a beautiful view of the bridge. It is quiet but still within walking distance to downtown. I liked the free shuttle service and the confortable temperature of the pool just outside our room. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. Location! Owners were nice, grounds are beautiful. Rooms are small but clean and pool is very nice and I like that its a small place. Breakfast is good, staff friendly and did I mention the location is perfect? Shower drains well, a/c works great. There is laundromat 1 minute away.
all reviews » The American Boutique Inn is over and above all expectations of staying a few nights. The atmosphere is quaint, quiet, extremely well kept and friendly. Not like a chain. The view of the Mackinaw Bridge is wonderful. The city is easy to walk to. Very quaint, comfortable, clean, we had a great view of Lake Michigan and the couple that run the place were very nice. Just a but on the pricy side as there were several other hotels that were much less expensive in the area. The Staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the outdoor poor. Continental breakfast could be ordered and brought to our room. Grounds were beautiful and well kept with swings and chairs. Invitation to free wine and cheese. Knowledgeable, friendly, courthouse staff. Rooms are just the right size, clean and very comfortable beds. Location is just outside of the town centre, which lends itself to quite morning walks along the beach. Staff was very friendly. It was always the same people so had a friendly, familiar feel. Everything was extremely well cared for, the rooms and grounds. Very neat and clean. Rooms very pretty and unique. Staff were excellent and pleasant. Wonderful themed rooms. Grounds were extremely well kept and colorful with summer flowers. Uniquely offered food and coffee delivered to rooms every morning. The room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. The place was quaint and clean. We even left our vehicle there while on the island and a shuttle pick us up both was. Would stay there again. Our room at America's Boutique Inn was immaculate! Location. Tiny bathroom, shower spray was harsh and the place feels a little damp but they are right at the water. No fridge. Truly, there are no complaints because it is so well run. Pool was a bit chilly even though it was heated. No coffee machine or flat screen tv in room. There was nothing I didn't like. The patheay to the room - the staircase and the walkway could have been better and more well maintained. Nothing Worth Mentioning. The decor could be updated. No refrigerator or microwave. I had stuff that needed to be kept cold and it was lost. If I would have known there were no refrigerator, I would have prepared for that. No Coffee maker in room. Zero complaints. Some of the bathroom fixtures could be better, but overall it was great. We were very disappointed that the desk clerk told us upon check-in that we could come down for the complimentary " evening wine & cheese" on "only one" of our nights stays. It is advertised as "evening" and that was a big draw and why we ultimately choose abi. Very disappointing indeed especially since we were the only guests the night we went. Everything was most excellent!. N/A. flies on the hotel rooms, small. Would like to see the TV's upgraded. This property is an ordinary motel (like Motel 6) that is posing to be something else. The decorations can be described as eclectic. The breakfast, well it was a breakfast. Small room. Not clean enough. Very difficult to breath.
