I love this place. About 7 yrs., I was in the LA area for business and my employer put me up at HA (Hotel Angeleno). Since that time, I have stayed several times at HA. The staff has changed over the years, however the service is the same know as seven years ago-GREAT!. I'm not a celebrity, millionaire, CEO or some rich spoiled brat. However, each time I've arrived at HA, a feeling of "status" was displayed by staff toward me. Whenever I'm in LA, I will always stay at HA. Again, I love HA a.
all reviews » Excellent view from the room, the restaurant on the 17th floor was really good. Excellent viewes with great food and a very good selection of drinks. The pool is small but nice with a small gym but efficient. Ideal for getting to Sunset Boulevard and also Santa Monica. Free parking also with Valet with your stay. I loved their modern interior, clean comfortable rooms. I loved that housekeeping wasn't banging on our door at 9 am like some other hotels. The staff was gracious and I encountered 3 different front desk staff members during my stay. Free wifi and valet parking are also never to be underestimated. Very clean, small rooms are tidy not so good for families but are decent for one night stay. Pool area and gym are very nice well kept. Easy to access the main roads if you are travelling too Santa Monica, San Diego or into LA. That you were away from Downtown LA. It was very relaxing and sleeping at night was great. The top floor was great and the food really good. Being right next to the Getty was really handy. There doesn't seem to be anything within walking distance - no place to go walking, no place to buy a beer. Room is small and dated. Unfortunately we were charged a Restaurant charge $ 50,80 (check# 1922) on 08-31-13, that we certainly did not use. Due to the quick departure to the airport we overlooked this charge. Only 1 tiny wastebasket(in the bathroom) which filled up quickly. Rooms a little small. Constant roar of freeway 405 traffic. No newspapers available on weekends. didn't like the fact that there were no microwave in the room. That there was no electricity for a whole day and that the manager did not want to compensate the quests in any way. It seemed like he just didn't care and just said that it was out of their control. Kindness goes a long way. Manager ruined the good feeling I had when I checked in but I left with a sour taste upon checking out. Horrible, inconsiderate Asian manager :(. Valet parking only After checking in, entering room, we discovered contents of mini bar lined up on floor against the wall. We opened the cabinet to discover that there was no refrigerator. We reported this at desk and they said that minibar items would be removed. They were...along with my husband's watch (discovered the next day, called after checkout, never heard back from hotel). The rooms were very small. Because of highway construction activity, forget using gps to get to the hotel...and make a wrong turn at your peril. 17Th floor restaurant (West) is highly mismanaged. Inexperienced waiters, poor service & closed at 11:00 on Friday with patrons begging for some form of food or beverages. No alternatives in walking vacinity. the traffic. Freeway noise, construction. the freeway noise from our room!. The hotel locates beside the busy freeway, so the noise experience by the room facing the freeway can be very annoying. Also, the value is relatively too much for a hotel with small room, 20 minutes drives to Beverly Hills. The restaurant service was terrible. Room was a little small but that comes with the design. The freeway was a tiny bit loud but that comes with the location. valet park everytime. precio. Nothing. Water pressure too low. A little more noisy than expected. 40 % of staff below California average friendliness. Food service was very slow. Not enough help during breakfast. There was one waiter and he was waiting on tables, busing tables and seating people. It took 15 minutes to get coffee. Only had white bread for toast. It was a disaster. The happy hour food was not very good and also slow. Drinks were way overpriced. looks better in the pictures. lots if traffic around. Noise from the highway. The bathroom is too small and also the fridge was keep not cold at all. The valet parking was not a good idea because the hotel is close by the highway and when all the cars are lining up wait for valet parking, it was just blocking the traffic. They should not make people have to do valet parking. Close proximity to highway, noisy. 30 min cab drive to sunset blvd. Located in between expressways. Not much of a view or walking areas. Although I was on the 8th floor the noise from cars on the highway did not let me sleep. Noise will filter in your room thru the wall AC unit no matter how high your room is. the hotel location is on the highway. on our first night they gave us a room in the 3rd floor and the noise from the freeway was so terrible that we just couldn't sleep all night long, felt like we have a bus station inside the room. Very very noisy by the highway location. Had a highway in our room. Location was to far away. Valet parking. Small room. Dirty, noisy. This is not a 4 stars hotel. Don not book this hotel.
