The service was incredible. We received champagne upon our arrival. Complete ocean view was not available but we had the best partial view. Very relaxing. Everything was available at the hotel so we did not need to leave the resort if we didn't want to. Beautiful ocean view room. I liked the set up of the room. Tons of counter top space. I just came to Hyatt from Pier House and thought there was no way on earth you could compete......I was wrong! I would stay here again!.
all reviews » The entire experiece at the Hyatt was amazing. The staff were amazing, the facilities were sensational, the view was fantastic and the entire experience was to die for. What's not to like but most of all the location. Walking distance to almost everything in Key West but secluded enough to feel cut off from the outside world. It was a great place to stay for my first visit to Key West. I hope to come back, and if so, I will look into the Hyatt again. When I first arrived, they didn't have my reservation. Fortunately, I had the email that the hotel sent to me when I first made my reservation. They had to put us in a standard room instead of the room I had reserved, but the staff made up for the error. It was way overpriced. View of bums sleeping on beach right below my balcony. Bums made a lot of noise. I booked months in advance and could only get two rooms with a king bed only. I had friends meet me there, they booked 2 months after me and got the rooms I wanted, 2 queens with pool and ocean view, or even just 2 queens... The price of room service coffee in the morning. As everywhere in Key West, higher prices. Pool area was closed late afternoon for corporate function. I paid for the use of all amenities and was restricted. $1100 for two nights for a limited gulf view. Room was small for price. I think we were given a step down as other rooms on the same floor had sitting rooms and were bigger. Pool was small but well maintained. push to go to a timeshare presentation. Room rate. Worst tv system i've ever encountered. Had to go to the menu, then back to tv just to change the channel! Awful, my wife is pregnant so we did spend time in the room. Also, furniture was uncomfortable. Not clean enough. No minibar. Very loud air condition. I thought the resort fee, $20.00 +Tax) would only be charged the first night. They charge the fee for all 3 days. The Bathroom Tub Drain was not working and the faucet handle fell off. They did send up some one to. The staff at the front desk we rude not helpful and in one instance just out and out lied. We had to wait till pm to check in. This never happens at the Hilton or at the Hyatt in Denver where we frequently stay.The sent us to the pool bar where we had to wait 1 hour for our food. There was not desk in the room for my husband to carry out business every morning . This Hyatt was a complete disaster. Wish we had stayed the Weston. It is s much nicer property. overpriced.
