The staff was SUPER accommodating and VERY friendly and efficient. The lcoation was within walking distance of most shops and restaurants in Hyannis. I was impressed with the swiftness and efficiency displayed by all staff members. The value is the main reason I stayed, but it's not the reason I will come back. Location and staff. A winning combo. Our stay at Hyannis Travel Inn was delightful. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. We booked for 2 nights and stayed for 6! Breakfast was included and ample. wifi free! Rooms were large and comfortable . Location excellent, we walked everywhere. They even stored our bags when we left for a few days to the islands. We will be back!.
all reviews » The pool temperature was perfect. The breakfast was good. The front desk personnel were very accommodating. The rooms were comfortable. The indoor pool size was excellent, and the glass all around gave it a festive airy feel. Having breakfast around the pool was lovely. Front desk people very accomodating!. Staff was excellent - there are no coffee makers in the rooms - asked if one was missing from our room - man at the desk immediately said that if we would like one, he would have one put in - which he did. All the desk staff were so friendly and can answer just about any area question. Reasonably priced room for the area. There are definately more expensive places to stay but if you are looking for a nice place to rest at night while exploring the area during the day this is it. The ferry to the island is right down the road. Close to main st. As well for shopping. The staff were excellent. Very polite and welcoming and they gave us lots of information on where to visit in the area. Staff were continuously topping up breakfast items and cleaning. Room was comfortable ane clean. Location was great being just minutes from Main Street. This is a nicely run inn. They even insisted on bringing my suit case to my room. It's not the Hilton, but they don't pretend to be. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and safe. It's a charming reminder of how Cape Cod used to be. The staff were excellent especially the manager he could not do enough to help, we were most impressed. the accommodation was large and ideal for our purpose as we were travelling from Hyannis airport which was a few minutes drive away. The staff was VERY helpful! They gave us a lot of good suggestions for dinner too. I really liked the balcony just outside our room! Also, the room was very clean and housekeeping did a wonderful job of keeping it that way. The travel inn was centrally located in hyannis, about 10mins walk from the harbour and 2 minutes from shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking on site. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was plentiful. The staff were so nice and attentive to ypur needs. The pool and hot tub were very clean and maintained well. The room was cleaned on your time and not too early. There could have been a protein option for breakfast, i.e. eggs, bacon. Everything was carbohydrates, cakes, bagels etc. Bathrooms are kind of small, but workable. TV's could be updated with flat screens and more channels. No ice machine close to room. There was an ice machine 2 floors down (and no elevator) and near the office. The ice machine was broken and we just had to ask for it. Nothing. The room we were in was a bit dated. Dark furnishings and well used. The Cont. Break. didn't open until 7:30 AM- we're early risers and would have appreciated a cup of coffee at 6:30.... Breakfast was served around the indoor swimming pool, and because of this all cutlery was plastic and crockery was paper!. There was no flat screen TV and no safe in the room. Room above was very loud woke us up from a sound sleep at 1:30 in the morning; found it very hard to fall back to sleep. Ended up leaving for home at 6:00 in the morning. My guess is the gentleman (?) closed the establishment at 1:00 or so came home to his 2 sleeping children woke them up. The one thing I didn't like was the shower had no place to put your washcloth or shower needs. They need to install a hook or some small shelves in the shower. shower has to be renewed: appliances are old, bathroom tab drain didn't work properly; there was rust on metal. having to leave!!. The breakfast was OK. Not many healthy options, like fruit, whole grain products or peanut butter. We ended up buying those things and having them in our room!. Having the breakfast in beside the swimming pool is a bit unsettling. It might not be the most healthy thing to eat in that atmosphere. Furniture and decor a little dated,but didn't detract from a pleasant stay. Nothing :-). We were in room 214. The bathroom door has some little defects.When you were inside you could not open it. Somebody has to open from behind the room. I use a c-pap machine for apnea and there wasn't any place to plug it in near the bed. Housekeeping brought me a surge protector and extension cord that I was able to plug in near the bathroom. It was a bit too hot for us, and a long walk to the harbour. Construction or some kind of refurbishing going on. The bathroom fixtures were rusty and the fan stopped functioning. A bit outdated and musty. nothing!. Nothing. There's no elevators. Although a coffee pot was offered for the room, would have preferred that fresh coffee be available in breakfast area earlier than 7:30. physical plant was dated. Probably my only complaint is that the pool closed at nine. Toilets seat too small for older,larger people. Extractor fan was extremely noisy in the bathroom. Did not like having to eat breakfast round the swimming pool. No gym facility. it rained!. Room was a bit scuzzy.
