we celebrated our 1 year anniversary,when we arrived the staff were great! they had a note attached to a balloon wishing us a happy anniversary,the room was super clean, we had a 2 person whirlpool, plenty of towels a great romantic view from the balcony. They helped with dinner reservations, they told us about some great places to eat, and places to see we couldn't be happier. The staff and facilities at the WorldMark Galena far exceeded my wife's and my expectations. The one bed room condo was clean and equipped with every appliance to make our stay enjoyable. The view from our third floor unit was spectacular. The Wyndom staff is professional and was always available if you requried their assistance.
all reviews » We had a studio room with a Murphy bed. We loved it! Bed and pillows were comfy. Loved the fridge with freezer. Spa tub was awesome too. This could be our new favorite place to stay in the Galena area. The one bedroom apartment was perfect for our gathering of three girlfriends. Loved the fireplace and large bathroom not to mention all the small essentials available. The countryside setting was great. Our room was wonderful! It really made it feel like a little home away from home. I loved the tub! Also, the area it is located in is beautiful and the staff was very, very friendly. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The room was very nice and clean. The hotel was close to downtown Galena. Extremely clean rooms and kitchens!!!!!!! Guys loved "The General" golf course. We loved the scenery from our balcony, the peace, quiet and comfort. clean and well appointed. staff extremely friendly and courteous. Very Comfortable, quiet, Relaxing, Modern, Clean, and Green. Large trucks rumbling through in middle of night. Our room was on the road side. NOT a huge issue though. There is no on-location restaurant or bar, and it's a little far from Galena (just under 8 miles) - so nothing is within walking distance. The bed was a bit uncomfortable. Not quite enough to do in Summer for girls and kids. No outdoor poor. We had to go to high school to play tennis.Tennis courts would be very nice and an outdoor pool! Poor water was slightly cool for children under 3. a little far out of town. Didn't like that there wasn't a way screen that would block the view of the bathroom through the fireplace... no privacy. I liked it all. The fireplace was double sided. One side in the sitting room, the other in the bathroom by the hot tub. However, there was no screen, so if someone was using the bathroom, all could be seen by anyone in the sitting room. No Outdoor Pool. only 1 pillow per person, towels had to be returned to desk, not brought to you. shower stall very small. The Murphy bed mattress was to hard. Our room was located on ground floor with a view of electrical power boxes, etc. Loved balcony (no view). Décor of room terrible. Bed comfortable. little small, not very close to Galena.
