For the price I paid, it was a great deal. People have complainedabout the buffet breakfast, but it was more than adequate. Staff werelovely, and the facilities were great. Free entry to the hot springswas an added bonus. Overall, very pleased. Very nice room with agreat view too. facility service is excellent. it is escape relaxation destination. the hotel is located at reasonable distance from Awafi which is well known for desert camping and 4wd driving and motor biking and other heritage activities during winter.all reviews »
The hotel has a beautiful view over the desert. The prices of meals in the restaurant are not extravagantly high!. Everything was just perfect. the Spa facilites and treatment made it worth every penny.The Cleaniness and the natural beauty and hospitability. Beautiful place, relaxing. Spa facilities. Good Stay. The spa and gym open at 8 am but at 10.30 on the Saturday morning there was no one to give me a locker key - I had to call reception to get someone to come down. In the gents spa there were young boys and girls - and later the mothers came in to see their children playing. Lots of splashing and noise. Hardly what one wants from a hotel that touts itself as having relaxing Ayuvedic treatment.The only thing missing was the slippers at the spa, we had to walkwithout shoes. Gym open late and close early. it should be 6am to 10pm like any other 5 star hotels.The pool needs some maintenance, but we enjoyed our time there. 2Things- The food was very mediocre, quite surprised for a hotel of its' rating.Also, our deluxe bedroom had a door adjoining to the room next door, which meant we could hear every noise coming from that room.The car parking space. the breakfast is fantastic,. the Hotel is far away from the city and there is not much to do near by. It's hard to understand were exactly the actual springs are, which are to be found in a separate structure down the road a bit. The information said that there were cabanas and pools available for families and couples, but we were told these weren't available without further explanation. We could have done without the amusingly bad lounge singer at dinner.only thing at nite the next room was very noisy .......... due to some party going on in the room next our's......... but over all it was good experince. Swimming pool too small. No much facilities in the hotel for long stay, i recommend to stay for 1 or 2 nights maximum..Hotel is concentrating much about being a professional spa forgetting that some people want to enjoy the stay without using the spa. Spa prices are pretty expensive. The luxury room was not worth the extra money offering just 10 sq ft more room and no balcony. Wifi only works on the ground floor although they offer a plug in room cord for free internet. The pool area is small and we were troubled by a lot of flies. The restaurant singer was very loud and could be heard from bedrooms on floor 5! Rooms are not sound proofed as described. TV reception is weak.Not recommended for shopping or for sporting activities (except in the hotel close to the beach for which you have a free shuttle). Poor check out services, some of the staff are under trained, theoutdoor swiming pool needs fence and maintinace, the restaurant areaoutside doesn't get cleaned at all, the bath tubs at the rooms needclass barier because the water spreads all over the bathroom when takingbath. Car parking should be shaded and easly accessed for the guests.The sping needs to run total maintinace and cleaning. Parking facility. The indoor pools have been divided between men and women. It would be better if the pool in the mens area was divided from the spa area so that women could also use it. Otherwise you have the children + husband in one area and the wife alone in another. This is pointlesss when the open pool just 10m away is mixed. The external pool area also needs upgrading as it is very dull.Dinner was not up to the satndard. No vegetarian dishes as options. Very less recreational facilities such as Indoor sports... service, staff experience.bad location. The Dinner-Buffet was poor.i hope there will be more options for the children staying at the hotel,like a play ground. Pool area to sparse. Neads to be made more attractive. I arranged to be picked up from the airport and no-one came for me. I waited 45 minutes. When I told the hotel about this, I did not get an apology. The taxi driver from Dubai did not know the hotel so I had to change taxis in Ras al Khaimar and get a local driver. This was distressing for a solo female traveller.cleaning staff very active and always they are in the job. Service by the pool area was poor. Some of the spa equipment did not work.Dirty Bathroom and food was not 5-star. uninviting pool area, needs some planting round the edges. Cleaning takes hours and other staff tended to congregate and chat, some even sitting on the loungers. The barrier used to separate the shallow from the deep end means you cannot swim a length. It was so uninviting we didn't use it at all and I love to swim. Also the A la Carte food was awful.fridge didn't work in our 'deluxe room' also there was no balcony. couldn't get a booking at the spa as it was understaffed (I recommend guests book ahead when making a reservation here). Very poor service which puts you off from the moment you check-in, rooms were not ready, room service takes an hour and suddenly you find house keeping staff inside your supposedly private room! Menu mainly caters to European taste.I went there to do horse riding. Which apparantely don't exist.
