The staff were very good and helpful- restaurant very acceptable with a very good (eat as much as you want) breakfast. The rooms were typical Premier Inn-so you know what to expect and you know the quality to expect (Good). Excellent location for the rail station and a short walk in to town. The staff were amazing, especially Shaun on the desk. Staff were young but so polite, they were a credit to themselves and to premier inn. Rooms quiet, bed huge, all staff in all areas acknowledged us, we have stayed in premier inns before but the service here was exceptional.

Convenient location just outside Micklegate bar within walking distance to central York and attractions. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast with kids go free was great - eat as much as you like and very varied. The location was an easy walk to everywhere and the staff were friendly and helpful. Comfy beds, hotel rooms are in different 'blocks' certainly different from previous Premier Inn's we have stayed in! Good location around 7 - 10 min walk from station. was not expensive, lovely helpful staff, clean, walking distance to Minster and shopping, good restaurants in area. Hubby loved power shower. I loved coffee shop!. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The receptionist when we arrived brought soya milk to our room, so that I could make a cup of tea. The warm and friendly manner of the staff we had contact with. The young lady who helped with room temperature was an excellent role model for your hotel. Staff so friendly and helpful. Room kept much cleaner and in better repair than other lodges/inns we've stayed in. Perfect location. Breakfasts beautiful!. Good location a few minutes walk from the railway station. Staff were extremely helpful. Also liked the restaurant attached to the hotel, it was good value for money. The location for the racecourse and city centre fantastic. The cleanliness was of a good standard. It was convenient for the wedding we went to ad the facilities were clean and suited our purposes. Not far from the train station, well situated for wandering to see the sights, friendly staff. Atmosphere of premier inn was great , close to everywhere we wanted to go,great restaurant . My only concern would be that the rooms and corridors were looking in need of a make over - beginning to look tired!. Nothing. Only half an hour free wifi. Not enough if you're a business traveller. After that you pay 10 pounds for 7 days per device. This is at all Premier Inns. A bit cheap when it's the biggest chain in uk at the moment. Surely they could afford to provide free wifi, especially for business travellers. The only negative I can think of is that the breakfast isn't actually at the hotel. It's at a different Premier Inn which is about 2min (if that) away. This means that you couldn't have food in your room either. very bare vones, no bathproducts and sort of worn dimgy towels. There was only one receptionist at the desk when we checked out just after 10am on Sunday. She handled the queue very quickly but there should have been two people at the desk. Mistake over my booking. Having to go in and out of buildings to get to dining area. There is one building of the three, the Viking building , which is adjacent to the car park entrance which the drivers from an adjoining private hire firm use as a taxi rank. This does produce a degree of noise although they do try to be as quiet as possible. Mean free WiFi allowance. Having to leave premises and walk out to the dining area. Expensive parking. Mouldy grouting all over the bathroom producing an unpleasant smell. Needed more towels but that's probably a us thing!. Having to leave the hotel and walk to the restaurant for breakfast. No lift to our room. Nothing. The extra charge for parking and the fact that we got the last space so some guests would have had to park elsewhere. More tea bags please. We like a cup before bed and another first thing. The stairs - no lift. We booked a double room and got a double but the bed was two singles pushed together and the materass wasnt one full one and resulted in a bad sleep as the edges of the beds was hard and right in middle , and booking a room for £94 we expected better and having to pay for 24hrs parking aswell was a joke , guests of hotel should get free parking. The chaos at breakfast was very a stressful way to start the day. It was ok if you waited around till after ten as most people were gone as they stop service at 10.30 am. There needs to be a system of service maybe in sittings in order to control the huge que and the pushing and shoving at the counters. Having to go along the street to the breakfast hotel, especially on Sunday morning after the mess from the Saturday night pub customers. The pub was NOT part of the Premier Inn. Nothing to dislike. Bright LED light on air conditioning unit. Smell of disinfectant. The price was advertised including breakfast. This was not the case, although Reception staff honoured the stated price. The restaurant was a separate building. Breakfast was nice, but quite expensive. Windows needed to be cleaned. No barfridge. Nothing, really, no complaints. Lacking in character. too short a stay. having to leave hotel to get breakfast. paying for the car park. Had to go outside to get to the restaurant. Layout of the building is a bit disjointed ie walking round to get breakfast to other side of building, but not a major issue. Nothing!. Thought £73 +£8.50 for breakfast was a bit steep and adjoing restaurant expensive, must compete with Witherspoons across the road. key cards didnt work had to keep getting renewed other than that everything was OK. Staff did not explain key card needed to activate lights in room. Room too warm and only one comfortable tub chair so we could not sit together in the room comfortably. Saturday night noise, and some individuals without thought for others. None. Way way to pricey !!!!!. The windmill pub on site,had advertising banners on metal pole and metal rods holding them down. But in the windy conditions of our stay,they blew over every night and rolled around,while doing this the metal rods kept clanging and keeping us awake. Having to share reception with Costa Coffee and having to use restaurant at a nearby Premier Inn. This was not explained to me at the time of booking. I would not hesitate to use Premier again but not this particular venue because of above.
