facilities, the swimming pool and the jacuzzi. Convenient, nice breakfast, good value. Spa and food. the staff were very helpfull and friendly and the food was excellent. swimming pool was good. Good value for money, everything in room ie ironing board, trouser press, tea and coffee etc full use of leisure centre facilities was inclued in the price.

Bedrooms needs redecorating. room needs updating couple of bits on the cupboard were hanging off. Would have like the option to book breakfast at time of booking, felt it was a little over priced. Our room had some mould around the window and in the bathroom. It was also cold during the night, but other than that the hotel was very good indeed. The mattress in the bed every spring came through and made the mattress really uncomfortable and lumpy to sleep on. The actual accommodation section of the building is looking a bit tired. Breakfast Closed @ 10am . After a family party held at the hotel that Finished at 1:30 am the night before : we had to make are own arangments. the wall paper peeling off the walls. Directions to the room were poor, at some junctions you had to guess which way to go next. dinner, breakfast, restaurant. My colleague and I arrived at 22.15, having not eaten since breakfast, and the hotel could not even provide us with a sandwich! They ended up ordering us a pizza, which was delivered to the hotel! This was extremely irritating, and totally unsatisfactory. One major thing: no air con, nor fans.We waited about 10 minutes for a member of staff who said they were going to show us to our room as we couldn't find it. We found it ourselves in the end as we got bored of waiting. We gererally found the day-staff lovely but the evening staff unhelpful. Rooms were quite dated and in need of refurbishment. Pictures on letsbookhotel.com didnt quite reflect reality, but on the whole the room was quite clean.I like breakfast to be included in the price. Room smelt of smoke, even though it was non-smoking. I had booked a double room, but given a twin and told no others were available.The rooms are tired for the price. on chechin they tried to charge us double the rate booked at. had booked a superior room but there was nothing superior about it. my son booked a standard room at a leser rate and had an identical room to ours. Staff were 'cagey' when questioned and insisted it was a superior. no hotel informatin in room. poor range of toileteries.The room was badly in need of redecoration. The en-suite bathroom suite was old and not possible to get really hot water for a bath. Room and accomodation block generally was dated and shabby (we stayed there a few years back when it was the Village hotel and don't think anything has been updated since then). Generally in need of refurbishment.No hot water. Got moved to another room but the water only luke warm. The price of food was expensive and you indicated how much breakfast is. Poor decoration in the first room, dirty wall paper and wall paper coming off the walls.staff were not friendly except for the waitress in the restaurant as she did apologise for food taking so long. She was the only person in the hotel to smile!! The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and we asked for this to be changed which we have never done in a hotel before, it was changed but to a mattress which was even worse!! woke up the next morning with a bad back!!!. all the rest... The rooms and the bar are outdated and need urgent refurbishment, the paint falls off the walls,... And above all, the food is terrible. Dinner and breakfast were equally bad, fatty and tasteless.some staff were not very welcoming and seemed not bothered about some things. Complete lack of sleep due to noise at hotel. Ignorant reception staff, hotel very understaffed.
