Friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable accomodation. Great view over the harbour and decent parking space. Lovely breakfast with wide choice and overall value for money. Surprisingly good evening meal and a well stocked bar. The location of the hotel was within easy walking distance to the centre of town. The staff were very informative with any queries I had. The staff were very friendly, this made our stay more enjoyable.
all reviews » The location was wonderful. Our room had a perfect view of the bay and all the sailboats. During breakfast, the dinning room also had a great view of the water. Tom, the manager, was great. The room we had was large and very clean. It is a older hotel with character. The staff is helpful and takes pride. Breakfast was good and plentiful. This is a 3* to 4* Guest house. We stayed in room 22 with lovely views out to sea. A short walk into Oban Manager and Staff very friendly. The hotel was clean,the owners couldn't do enough for you,if you wanted anything,you only had to ask,evening meal was great. The room was lovely with a super view and the staff were extremely friendly. the breakfast was very good. Walking distance to Town, top fish restaurants @ the pier and distillery, friendly staff, nice view. Staff were helpful and pleasant, room was very comfortable and cosy. breakfast was very enjoyable. The people who own the hotel are lovely, as is the evening concierge, Katherine. very welcoming,clean, well equipped and a great breakfast. mainly very good. Convenient location to walk into Oban. Room could have been a little cleaner but that is nit picking.could benefit from a freshen up on the exterior and parking area surface. nothing. Located on the main road into the town. High traffic/noisy in peak times. a bit of a climb if you don't have a car but worth it for the views. main car park not user friendly. no container for soap in shower, it is not so easy to bend to the floor when you are mature!! I did not like finding out that there were many more rooms unoccupied than shown on letsbookhotel.com's website. En suite bathroom needs major updating. difficult to park no place to hang towels. Very noisey room at front of hotel (somebody has to get these rooms ).Bedroom carpet had lots of marks on it.BED Was not made in the morning Grrr( we were given £10 of the bill.)As for the free wifi very hard to get a signal did get one at 10/30 pm but not for long !!!!!!!!!! when I asked why they have in on their web page I was told I have got wifi but you cant always get connected they don't tell you that. Nothing. The climb up the hill from the town !!. The conditionof the car park facilities. Nothing to criticise, would be happy to return in future. close to main road,traffic noise. Nothing. The room was a little noisy with windows facing to the main road which enters Oban. Nothing. Breakfast disappointing. Cracked wash basin. Dirty toilet, One curtain had started to come off its runner and the palment curtain was nearly falling off! Table in room was very tired vanish had started to come off wooden top. Whilst having breakfast a person was smoking outside which is fine but it was just the other side of the window where we were having our breakfast. Fried breakfast was poor.
