the dinner was first rate. Quality in everything; Friendly, helpful and polite staff.close to the course I was attending. lovely spa area, comfortable room. I have stayed at this hotel many times as the location is good the hotel is very nice and clean offers good facilities and the staff are always happy to help.Good facilities, prompt service, spacious room, firm bed, excellent breakfast with fresh orange juice, helpful reception staff. It was quick and handy to travel from hotel and office and back.Generally a good hotel for an overnight stay. easy to unload luggage and secure parking in front of hotel.staff, size of room and leisure facilities. the room was great and the staff we met were friendly. The room, an executive style, spacious and very clean. Spa and Health Centre.The spa was great. drinks at the hotel bar were fairly expensive. Drinks were on the expensive side. unfortunately some of the guests on the same floor was a bit unruley but this was not the hotels fault. clogged extractor fan in toilet, they were mean with breakfast coffee on day 2, and with butter-don't know why. Brekfast - cold so dissapointing as rest of hotle was nice !. Food was bad ....Too Much of Salt used in cooking. Breakfast was busy on Sun morning and there were no fruit juice glasses -( I had to ask for them) and no eggs for breakfast at all - chef took ages to cook scrambled eggs and so we never got any.where is the a/c? big let down. breakfast was not included. £95 a night and having to pay for breakfast is just not right. It spoiled an otherwise good experience.More than one wedding reception was being held which made the bar totally inaccessible. In the morning the restaurant couldn't cope with the flow of guests. Unacceptable!!!. Fire alarm on Sunday morning. Reception staff not very friendly.Building work underway, was not made aware of this until checking in. We were appalled. Srved with dirty crockery, no toiletries in room.Newspaper arrived 2 hours late. Didn't recieve alarm call that wasbooked. The gym was a joke, with no staff to assist. No life gard atpoolside (illegal).

From J12 of M4. Follow signs for Newbury/Thatcham A4 - stay on A4 as you approach outskirts of Thatcham following signs for Newbury A4. At the first major traffic lights with a right hand filter go into the right hand lane turn into Northfield Road (the Hotel is signposted with brown tourist signs just prior to this junction). At the top of Northfield Road turn left (brown signs at this junction also) and the Regency Park is first on the right. From J13 M4 Follow signs Newbury/Thatcham A4. As you approach Newbury go into the left hand lane and follow signs for Reading/Thatcham A4 - keep straight on until you come to first major roundabout (Garden Centre in front of you) the Hotel is signposted on brown tourist signs - take the second exit and follow road for approximately 1 1/2 miles - Hotel is second on left. From M3 Follow signs for Newbury A339. As you approach Newbury, come through 3 roundabouts following signs for Reading A4. At the last traffic lights, go into the lane marked Reading/Thatcham A4 and follow road until come to major roundabout (Garden Centre in front of you) and take second exit (Hotel is signposted with brown tourist information signs). Follow road for 1 1/2 miles approximately and the Hotel is second on the left.
