The Lamlash Bay Hotel is on the Isle of Arran, 150 metres from the beach. It offers panoramic views over Brodick Bay, rooms with free Wi-Fi and an Italian restaurant. The staff were very friendly and Brian was "everywhere". He fixed the problem with the wifi very efficiently and nothing was too much trouble. He's certainly an asset. Food in the restaurant was very good and service was excellent. Breakfast was also done well. Room was clean and we liked our view. Very friendly hotel,warm welcome and despite mix up with booking due to power problems with the recent snow ,it was a really enjoyable stay and special thanks to Brian from Tipperary who was very friendly and is a valuable asset to the hotel. Breakfasts were fab and dining in the evening also good.

Breakfast was included and was lovely. I only wish I had booked more than one night here. I would go back!. The situation of this hotel is beautiful - uninterrupted view across Lamlash Bay to Holy Isle. Accommodation was spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. Staff were welcoming and friendly - made us feel valued. Food delicious!. Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, rooms clean and comfortable, good breakfast and excellent evening meals. Super location for exploring island, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend many thanks. Despite the power cuts on the island, everyone was wonderfully friendly and helpful, and the staff looked after us very well and provided useful advice on days out. Staff and location were 1st.class,view from the very large bedroom was unrestricted and very nice.Hotel was nice and clean,as was our bathroom,plenty of hot water. The location was superb,it is dog friendly which is what we required and the staff were so helpful we had a great time and will be returning in June. The hotel has a great location near the bay. Staff were pleasant, and the Superior Double Room no3 was nice and had a fantastic view of holy island. Staff helpful. The food. Excellent. location. Double bed very small, but the 4'6" bed seems to be the norm in most places in the UK. Can think of nothing that we didn't like. Not sure if there was a resident's lounge so that may affect families with children or people who don't wish to sit where there is a bar but that wasn't a problem for us. The bed was a little lumpy,and the springs made a noise if you were just turning over.A small point which did not bother us really was the hospitality tray did not have matching crockery,and the breakfast menu made no mention of porridge! but was supplied when asked for after the 3rd day as we had seen others requesting it. The showeroom unfortunately was cramped, and the macerator toilet system was noisy, priming itself every 10 mins. The breakfast menu was basic, and the full Scottish was of poor quality. Nothing. for me, personally the bed was a bit too soft. but again, that suits other people so not a drama. Bad service from waitress on first night. Meal was horrible. Wine glasses dirty. Nothing. Cant complain. Late time for breakfast 8.30. Mattress on bed definitely needs replacing. Very soft and almost on floor one side. little noisy one night. Bed a bit small. Breakfast late for workers, but I was accomidated with early meal. n/a. bed could have been better. Expensive for what you got in terms of room, bed etc. rather cramped, especially en suite. Needed modernising. Plumbing that did not work. Some might say that the beds in rooms 2&3 are totally broken and need replacing. no early breakfast no hot water in the sink noise of the loo maserator.
