What people say
The friendly, unobtrusive hospitality of the staff in this family run hotel. It was like staying with friends. The room and facilities were spotlessly clean, well decorated and amply furnished. The food served was also of a high standard. As we wrote in the hotel's comments book, in our opinion, this hotel is very under-rated as a two star establishment. It was a lovely hotel, with great views. Staff and owners were very friendly. Food was great and good value. Our room was gorgeous and very good value for money, we would definitely stay here again. Wish we had stayed here the full week and just travelled back and forward to other places.all reviews »
Staff were very friendly, food was excellent and real ale very good. Very relaxing place to spend a few days. Does not deserve to be rated 2 stars, would say this should be given a 3 star rating. Staff very pleasant. the bedroom was great and the food was good, and the relaxed atmoshere. Convenience and comfort. It was close enough to the village to walkif we wanted to go there to restaurants or pubs. On the other hand, there was food served in the bar all day so you don't have to goanywhere else. good entertainment on saturday night. The staff. The place anf the people. The music in the bar. Great room and bathroom.Comfortable, well furnished and freshly decorated.Friendly staff, good beer. Not all rooms are on suite. Not keen on dogs in the dining area of the bar -although could probably havev eaten in the dining room if I'd asked. The cleaner needs to dust the panes of the doors, especially the back of the bathroom.the bathroom. Poor food.Cheap white bread, poor quality sausage and bacon.Bar meal was no better. Also although check-out was stated as 07.00 - 11.00 if you check out at 7 you don't get breakfast! The only thing we got was a flask of milk so we could get our own cereal. No staff on duty then so we were harrassed to pay the night before.Twin room beds were end to end as very small room.
