Mark & Jacqui (managers) are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure that you enjoy your holiday - nothing is too much trouble for them. Wi-Fi access is very good - the brochure states it is available in public rooms but we could access it in the bedrooms which were well appointed. Meals are varied and good value for money - better than eating places in the rest of the town. Well situated within the town. only a short walk to the beach and shops. Only a short drive to both Sandring.
all reviews » Fantastic hotel ! a wonderful reception from Jacqui and Mark upon arrival, we were greeted and shown to our room The sea view suite was spotless, comfortable and very tastefully decorated. We felt right at home and the view was as promised of the sea ! a great treat for us land locked folk. Breakfast was splendid both days, I recommend the full english (with proper bacon) however Mark also makes the tastiest scrambled eggs and smoked salmon my sister has ever had ! All in all a fantastic stay, . Very clean rooms and a great location, we ate at the restaurant 4 nights and it was fabulous. We were made so welcome, our hosts Mark and Jacqui really looked after us all, nothing was too much trouble. We travelled with our daughter and young children and they were made to feel very special, which was fabulous. Highly recommended!. My partner and I stayed one night at the Shellbrooke and had the best room in the hotel! It was lovely; the bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water, the towels were soft and fluffy. It was tastefully decorated and had a sea-view. Breakfast was tasty, and the staff were friendly. We both said we would go back again. I wouldn't stay anywhere else other than The Shellbrooke, All of the staff are so friendly, they go out of their way to accommodate your needs. But most of all the hotel is spotlessly clean. I have recommended the hotel to five of my friends, again they have the "bug" and won't stay anywhere else. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We arrived early and were allowed straight in to our room. Meal portions were generous. The hotel had been refurbished recently and was in very good order. Very quiet at night time. Good sized tv in room. Very comfortable lounge with large tv. We felt so much at home. Mark and his wife were so friendly and the service was excellent. We can not fault the Shellbrooke and would highly recomend it for a visit to Hunstanton. Lovely location, we only used it for an overnight stay away from the Christmas madness, very warm welcome, and we had our room upgraded at no extra cost, very comfortable room with a sea view, breakfast was lovely. Check in and check out were faultless. Would recommend. Excellent location - 5 mins from the sea and just around the corner from the Indian restaurant. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was v good. I liked the north Norfolk coast and there are many pubs with excellent menus for lunch and dinner. The husband and wife team were great, very friendly. The food was excellent. We went for a Valentine's meal. The location is brilliant, a five minute walk onto the beach. Large room, en-suite. Very clean. Cosy restaurant and small bar. Lovely friendly welcome very nice to our granddaughters which made them very welcome too. Karen was fabulous and the food was great too. Mark and Jackie were excellent hosts. They came up tops when we had an emergency and nothing was to much trouble for them even packing sandwiches for us to take to the hospital. We really liked everything, felt like home. The evening meal was as good as any I have had in the top London hotels. Nothing!. No complaints at all, i'm one who can find fault in anything - however this is a corker of a hotel. All hotels should be more like The Shellbrooke !. Everything was great!. Our window outlook was onto the fire escapes and back yard - but some rooms must have that view. The mattress was a little firm for our tastes but as our stay was for one night we did not mention it. Freeview tv channels only. Had a bit of a problem with the shower, very low water pressure. Needs a little updating. Could do with new blinds and curtains in the room - a bit dated. Only a double bed. My husband is 6'3". I don't know if any of the rooms have larger beds? Perhaps the bar could be more of a social area with a few stools. There was nothing to not like it was great. The mattress in our room a bit too firm. (The Sheringham). Nothing about the hotel springs to mind apart from the seagulls !!! But what do you expect when you visit the coast :0). Hotel's small car park was full on arrival (on-street parking only available from 17.15-09.45); noise from neighbouring bedroom through connecting door was irritating (and potentially embarrassing!); all guests came down for breakfast at 08.30, and some had to wait up to half an hour to order and be served breakfast. None. nothing to dislike. Thought the twin room was a bit on the small side apart from that nothing. There was nothing to dislike but I would have loved to have had a king-sized bed. Only stayed the one night so did not get to try the evening meal, I had a feeling it would have been very tasty. room slightly small. As far as we were concerned there were no negatives. Nothing!. Not a lot of parking out the front, found it a little difficult to park round the back and needed help trying to get out! Hot water was scaldingly hot, please put warning signs up or turn down the boiler temperature. Nothing. I thought the breakfast was poor, and the day I arrived I was just left standing at the reception desk. none. N/A. whats not to like??. Nothing to dislike. Room was a bit small but still adequate. We liked everything.
