Can't praise it enough. All of the bedrooms faced onto the lake. Big picture window. View over the lakes. Good sized room and bathroom. we liked the staff, and the outlook on to the lake. A lovely breakfast, and the rooms were kept clean through our stay.Peaceful and pleasant lake view. Adequate parking. Easy access to M2. Good size room.

Please note that the restaurant is closed on Sundays. During some Saturdays there are dance evenings at the Lakeside restaurant. Recent music groups were The Supremes, The Searchers, Ben E King and Boney M. There is a formal dinner with dress code every Wednesday. From the M25:
- Exit at junction 2, and take the A2 towards Canterbury.
- We are 8 miles from this point, approximately 2 miles past the Gravesend (A227) exit.
- The exit is signposted 'Thong, Chalk and Inn on the Lake' (it is 200 metres past the Little Chef/Esso garage).
- We are then immediately in front of you.

From Dover and the M2:
- As you cross the River Medway and approach the steep hill, take the second exit signposted Cobham, Shorne and Hotel.
- At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit signposted Inn on the Lake.
- This road will lead you to the bridge over the A2. Then, turn right and we are straight ahead.
