Very well situated, easy to find. Stafff were very pleasent and helpful. The beds in the twin room were very comfortable. The Bumble Bee pub next door was very convient and excellent food. friendly staff and on noticing my wife has walking limitations they relocated us to the ground floor. Got what I paid for. The hotel was central to our trip and was staffed by very friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious and bright and spotlessly clean. The hotel's continental breakfast was excellent and being served from 6:30am to 10:30am allowed us a well deserved lie in!. Excellent as as far as being allowed to eat in our room as we had a small dog and it wasn't necessary to put him out to the car while we had breakfast.A good hotel to go to if you didn't want distractions. The only thing i can think of which could be changed would be more space to prepare your drinks. I had said that I had a disabled membe of y party and that inineeded a twin room, but they initially gave him a room on the top floor, this was eventually rectified. I was disappointed that they did not take heed of the information I provided. Also I had difficultly paying but the hotel were eventually able to rectify that.Noise levels from other guests - I could hear the person in the next room snoring and as I was on the ground floor I could hear the people above me - especially children running around upstairs. the hotel is too close to the motorway and it was a very hot weekend so had to leave windows open at night so it was very noisy both late at nite and early morning due to busy traffic, i did have a very sleepless weekend due to the noise but a very nice stay.lift was not working. a glass of wine very very very expensive at £6.00 a large glass. too hot needs air conditioning. The breakfast was too simple, i think they should have provide us full English breakfast with the price that we had pay for it. The location of the hotel is quite too far away from the Gloucester city centre, however there's a park and ride service behind the hotel.Air conditioning in rooms would have been nice. It was very hot during our stay and the rooms were very hot and humid at night. The rest of the hotel, including corridors is air conditioned, and very pleasant. Vending machine broken.Its a pain to get internet services. Would gladly pay a bit extra for free internet services in your hotels. The company does not acept maestro. Insufficient staff meant checking in/out and service at the bar was slow.The room was noisy as it was next to a boiler that came on every 5 minutes or so. I did ask about this at reception who said that we could move rooms, but then if there were spare rooms why were put in that one?. Not to keen if you are paying by cash as oppossed to a credit card charged an extra £30 and had to pay full amount up front at check in. nice to have had sky sports in room. The food in the adjoining pub / restaurant varied from average to inedible, although, to be fair, when we complained about the sunday roast on the first evening (which had presumably been cooked at lunchtime and kept warmish for the next 8 hours!!), they took the cost off the bill without hesitation. They obviously knew it was sub-standard.Water in the sink on my arrival that would not drain away. It shouldn'thave been there on my arrival. However someone fixed it the next daypromptly on my request so that was ok. breakfast times could be a bit later. staircase to first floor was drab - colour scheme needs updating to brighter shades. Sunday morning breakfast was very limited. I waiting 10 minutes for a plate. Food was not being replinished very quicky neither were the tables being wiped when they were vacated. In the end I settled for a bit of toast rather than wait any longer.matress too soft. the fact that the coffee came out of a machine. breakfast could be improved. mattresses to hard. cistern in toilet needed attention. Early hours of morning disturbance and bad language of other guests waking us up. appreciate it was a bank holliday but breakfast area was overcrowded and lack of staff meant tables not cleared.
