During our stay my partner lost a purse containing all her credit cardsand £50. After much searching she concluded vit must have been left athome. However, when we arrived home the purse was nowhere to be seen.Steps were being taken to arrange for the cancellation of cards when asa last frantic effeort I rang the Bull and explained the position, toour delight they had found it! Great staff!.

The breakfasts were fantastic.I was upgraded to a suite and no additional cost, so that they could accomodate my request for a king sized bed. Excellent room, pleasant staff. My son was sold a Red Bull drink at the age of 12, i dont feel that was acceptable due to the high caffeine levels of this drink. Room near staff quarters and noisy at night. The food - it was just acceptable - they can do much better. And there should be air conditioning in the rooms or atleast in the upstairs hallways. What makes it worse is that you cannot open your window when you are trying to sleep because of noise from the outside courtyard. The room was really rather dark.the room key did not work and also the numbering sysyems to the rooms was missing and it took 10 mins to find room. The quality of the rooms vary a lot, even within the same pric level! This is why I say fair on the comfort question. I have stayed 7-8 times since May, and the rooms on the 2. floor are usually very hot. The taxi service is not always reliable (often too late), but that is of course not your fault. And an annoying detail: you should upgrade the hair blowers, they are almost useless!. Only downside, we were on the ground floor and there was a birthdayparty with very loud music that went on until 1pm. Not what you wantwhen you are there for a weekend relaxing break. The temperature in the room was a bit too hot.the dinner menu was not very good for a 4 star hotel. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The TV had a bad selection of stations, e.g. I could not watch the English cricket test match.I found our walk to the bedroom qute a long way. Being placed in a room close to renovation work; I think some of the workmen might have been smoking in the corridors.There was no way to regulate room temperatur. Hotel TV/Internet system had odd behaviour at times. roms small. Internet Connection did not work. The magazines for my newspaper were missing. Bathroom was old fashioned and shabby.The bed. Too hard and not comfortable at all. No air con in room. Was told it was being fixed, very hot in room and not comfortable.First room they checked us into someone had been sicj in the night before. Although it was freezing outside they had the window open to air the room. Why check us into this room?? It stank of vomit. The moved us then to a room on the ground floor right across from where there was a disco set up - they told us it would be over by 11.30 but it went on until 1.30am...thanks!!. The room was cold, no heating controls visible. Reading lights not working. Service during breafast was very poor.The room was a longway from reception through many fire doors etc and no help with luggage was offered. The chicken dish at dinner was over cooked and the Gree Salad mainly lettuce.
