Lovely clean modern rooms, blackout blinds for the windows, heaven !! Looks a little worn in reception but does not let the hotel down in any way. Nice breakfast in the morning, all you need in a hotel room :) Would reccomend and stay again. It was very different loving,homely and real charm hopefully next yearwill be using you again.Great price...Friendly Staff..Very Clean...Would recommend.

During the refurbishment it is going through would like to see a lift installed, Quite a hike to the top floor with suitcases.The lack of a lift considering most people would have heavy/bulky luggage. The bar closing so early even for residents. Tired decor on the ground floor. Long wait for courtesy bus from airport. Rest of hotel badly needs the same treatment.First room we were given smelt of damp, kettle and hairdryer didnt workhad to complain and was given a different room. No heating (not even the towel rail) in bathroom and this was February in England. Both reported to reception on departure.No lift, so had to hawl very heavy suitcases up the stairs. The Bar prices.No elevator. no lifts. Hotel is gradually being refurbished so the appearance in some parts isold and shabby. need availability of food for longer hours. Yes, I had to wait 40 minitues in the freezing cold for the courtesy coach. The dining room was quite cold. The cash machine and the snack machine were both out of order!. Restaurant/bar area needed something doing to it ! The menu's were limited and what we ate didn't really taste how it should have done, was not presented very well and not very good value for money ! However the full english breakfast was very good !. We did not have a phone in our room or remote control for the TV. This meant that someone had to come knock on our door for the wakeup call. Also, we waited 45 minutes for the shuttle to come pick us up at the airport at night - it was too long a wait! Plus, the shuttle only fits 8 people so you have to book the night before to make sure you get a seat to go to the airport early in the morning.
