There were some minor mistakes made with housekeeping and other minor issues, but once brought to the attention of the staff, they worked very hard to resolve everything.The evening meal was poor. Very slow service despite not being busy. There is a shelter for bikes but not for human beings who have to smoke in the rain.!! There were a number of smokers. Also wedding parties invaded the hotel bar making an evening meal very noisy.High restaurant prices. room was hot!. Hotel was extremly noisy at 4am in the morning. I beleive my room may have been above the restaurant/breakfast area and it sounded like people were moving furniture around at 4am. Didn't get much sleep which wasn't appreciated. Not particularly impressed with the facilities in our room. Notea,coffee - despite contacting reception and waiting over an hour, wereceived nothing.The price of breakfast was too much, we had tea, toast and yoghurt and were expected to pay £17.60 each. There should have been a separate price for a continental breakfast. The rooms do not have air conditioners except for a tiny table fan which only circulated the heat in the roon rather than cool room. Not ideal in summer - definitely not at all!. The single room was extremely small. The hotel was very noisey almostevery night from staff activities and from neighbouring rooms. Therestaurant menu was un inspiring and the food of average quality for a 4star hotel. The floors creak all over the hotel from any movement. Reception staff not very helpful or particularly friendly.Very expensive breakfasts at £17.50 each!. At time of check out computer printer was out of paper process was veryslow dealing with me was too slow and interrupted by the member of staffanswering the telphone rather than attendint to me the bill was wrong heincluded two breakfasts £17.50+2 when we did not have breakfast I had toask for the parking code twice otherwise we would have gone to thebarrier and have to come back!!!. The room was a box so so small and breakfast was not included (room 113) never want to stay in that room again. I had confirmed a complimentary late check before arriving at hotel. At check in they did have this confirmation. Then the day before I was to check out I went to reception and they confirmed I did have the late check out. In the morning I was woken up at 11am telling me I had to check out. I explained the situation. I then got another call telling me I would be charged...very annoying. The Hotel did not live up to its star rating, the rooms were very dated and not very inviting, staff were not overly friendly and didn't seem to have much local knowledge.
