it was clean, good location for shopping and the train station. we went for the fringe festival. we booked two room and had four in our party, the snooze box is in a great location to go to the gay bars, castle and dungeons in Edinburgh. the rooms are small but do what they need to do with a TV and wet room, they had heating and air conditioning. we are all going back next year and going to stop at the snooze box, next year we will stay longer, great value for money and one of the best holidays.
all reviews » We loved the location which meant we did not have to use public transport. Parking was great, bed was very comfortable as was the bed linen and towels. Everything you need is there. We stayed in Edinburgh during the fringe festival and snoozebox was very good value for money when other budget hotels seemed way overpriced at this busy time. I liked the location - just off the Royal Mile. I liked the double bed - really comfy! I liked the wet room which didn't leak into the bedroom area. I liked the free tea from the reception portacabin. Its close to the City Center, the wirverly station, value for money, ideal for ternagers on an adventure or for a couple on transit, but definately not ideal for family with kids. As an architect, it was wonderful. You have a great product. Can only add a request that there be a grab bar in the shower. But then this is lacking in GB in general. Brilliant location perfect for our visit to the Edinburgh Fringe. Staff very helpful. Room shall we say compact but everything you need to ensure a good place to stay. Very interesting room layout. we thought their would be a snooze bar but their was not, but we could take drink in the room so not a problem. The room is tiny but its what you expect. The privacy is lacking when you use the toilet but again its what you expect. Nothing at all apart from the fitted sheet not quite fitting, but it was not a problem. We thought the railway might be noisy but the room seemed pretty well sound-proofed. Space for luggage is limited. The storage space included some drawers which I would suggest are not needed, and this space could be freed up for suitcase space. I missed having a kettle and fridge but the free tea made up for this. I travelled with my 19 year old step-daughter so we juggled the use of the shower and bedroom space. A mirror in the bedroom area would have been good as the steam in the wet room made it difficult to see for drying hair/putting on make up. The sitework was lacking. Better grading and curb appeal would add dramatically. Contacting the local taxi companies with your location would also be a plus!. The hole to close the door of the bathroom but a row of post it notes worked well to give total privacy!. The bathroom door was difficult to operate. No toilets at reception. Very cramped. There was very limited parking even though we phoned ahead to check and was told there would be plenty. I counted no more than 10 car parking spaces even though there were 120 rooms. Luckily, we were early and managed to get a space. Room was very, very small. A little claustrophobic. Prices were high but it was festival season so you can expect high prices in locations close to activity. Extremely small. Only one person could get dressed at a time. The price was a bit steep but given that it was during the festival it was understandable. Also maybe not for more than two people or for long stays as there is very little space. You have to know your room mate well as going to the toilet isn't a very private experience!. All good. Can't fault anything. A bit snug, even for 2 people. Space was tight. Room very small but well designed for space. Parking restricted - need more as it says parking with no need to book but car park was full whe. We arrived. I managed to move car into a space the next day. stowage area very small electrical outlet awkward WiFi cumbersome to use and not very strong signal. wifi not working during our stay. Shower door couldn't be kept open. Toilet flush mechanism was erratic. No hairdryer. No washcloth. Lack of amenities , bar etc. I was unable to connect to their wifi for the first 2 days of my trip which was the main reason I chose this accommodation. The staff were very helpful and even moved my room closer to the router, but it didn't help. The problem solved itself on the third day, but the wifi was still sporadic until I checked out. Very compact, beds too short, glass door on bathroom. All was great. No hot water when we wanted a shower. Wifi did not work. The wifi was not reliable. Was great but would only share cabin with someone you were close to. Unable to log on to wifi. space was necessarily limited , but was fine for just overnight. Glass toilet door area plus hole for handle. Just too small. Particularly trying to get to bathroom at night. The room is too small for family. Will be excellent if the room is 50% bigger. Nothing. Very smallllllll. car park full despite email to confirm reqest for disabled space.No notice taken of request for ground floor accomodation. My room was too small and there was no chair provided in the room.
