From the moment we arrived we were given a warm, cheerful and friendly welcome. And this attitude continued throughout our stay by all the staff - in fact I don't think we ever saw any of them without a cheerful smile and greeting - led by Chris, the manager, who always had time to chat but at the same time maintained a trained and watchful eye on all the guests to ensure we all had great service. Our room was extremely comfortable and well presented, and was equally well presented every eve.
all reviews » it was our second stay we like the tastefully decorated rooms which are very clean and have good facilities such as Wi-Fi flat screen tv and good quality coffee. the staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant food is excellent and breakfast menu provides a good variety. I particularly liked the eggs benedict. The inglenook fire place in the bar gives a cosy feel on chilly winter days. Large, comfortable room with a spacious en-suite bathroom. A good nights sleep in quiet countryside. Good dinner with the added attention of The Cook who was very willing to provide a good service. Overall an Inn that we will return to because of friendly service and clean comfortable accommodation. The hotel was first class, the choice of food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was lovely , the whole stay was perfect and we would love to return. Without doubt the staff are top rate. The staff were always welcoming and pleasant and the Inn was a pleasure to stay in. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this place and hopefully we will be returning soon ourselves. Location,dining,friendly helpful staff. Food is superb - not pub food at all. Every thing was just perfect.!. Location, food and wine. There was nothing not to like. nothing. There is nothing to dislike about this hotel. I liked everything. Room 8 is not to be recommended because of noise and location over the rear bin area, and close to kitchen. Staff use this area to smoke and chat. Only issue would be that fans would be useful in the bedrooms especially during this heat wave. It was very warm and their was no air conditioning. Bathtub needed a non slip mat. N/a. Nothing. Nothing.
