the staff were exceptional, as one of our party of eight has coeliac disease, but not a problem to them, even down to breakfast on sun morning, she was well catered for, thoughtful and freindly personel. Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The room was clean tidy and comfortable. Facilites were great. no delays at check-in or departure. efficient friendly service. very comfortable.

Good breakfast, a very good Health Club and even the evening meals where of a very high standard. You are also a two minute walk from the "Park and Ride" in to the centre of Chester, much eassier and cheaper than taking the car.good sized room, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, excellent pool, gym ok but a bit old fashioned, convenient for Park and ride and occasional bus service into Chester, spacious and comfortable bar and restaurant area. Our stay in the hotel was very comfortable, the staff were all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Having a young baby with us the hotel met all our needs which made our visit to chester perfect.the whole experience was good, ive even recommended the hotel to family. politeness of reception lady and the cooked breakfast!!!. all of the staff was very friendly and helpfull. It was removed without question.The breakfast coffee. the bar and the food was very over priced,. Room was a little small, lack of wardrobe space, bedside drawers etc but fine for one night. Would have liked a bigger room if we were staying longer. the room was very noisy with taxis coming and going and wedding party guests shouting below our room.smoking facilities. Some rooms are very small. Probably that there was no mini bar in the room or a safe deposit box. The rooms were slightly small for a 4-star hotel and lacked wardrobe and drawer space.reception staff could have been friendlier. The bedrooms a bit "tired" and really need refurbishing.Price of meals, other 4 Star Hotels have a range of cheaper options to suit pensioners tastes and budget. the fact that young children were running around late at night especially in the bar area. Tv was crap. Room was a little small. Toiletrys were poor quality.Internet access was expensive. Beds were not a little cheap and nasty.The room didnt meet my expectation of a 4 star quality room. small room. The flooring upstairs was too creaky and you got the impression you could fall through them. The food at the restaurant is not really good and there is not a lot of choices The breakfast was not really nice for this kind of hotel.Parking was a little limited. Thought the a la catre menu was expensive for what was offered. The outside of the hotel looks a little shabby. The pool in the leisure centre was freezing definatly not 30C. Adding 10% to dinner bill without asking.Small rooms. drinks over priced. Maybe it could have been better if there was a towel rail in the bathroom to dry the towels, however we could have asked reception for some more towels. price for bar drinks was daylight robbery, first room we got was stinking of ciggie smoke and tiny so got moved to a better room.Adjoining rooms were not available when we booked in at 17.00hrs. Very difficult to use TV remote to just find TV stations!. bathroom not really four star , poor shower. expensive bar and food but good pub over the road.

From the Midlands: Travel along the m54 until Junction 6, (a41). Follow signs for Newport and go through Whitchurch. Continue along the a41 towards Chester. One and a half miles from the City Centre, the hotel is on the left hand side almost opposite the Old Trooper Public House, near Christleton Village. From North Wales: Travel along the A55 towards Chester, following the signs for Manchester. Take the A5115 exit signposted Chester, Sainsbury's is on the left hand side. At the roundabout take the fourth exit onto the A41 towards Whitchurch. The hotel is 300 yards along on the right hand side. From the Motorways - M6 North, M56, M53: The M53 leads onto the A55. Take Junction 2 on the A55 and follow the signs for Whitchurch, A41. At the roundabout take the third exit for Whitchurch/North Wales. At the traffic lights keep in the left hand lane for Whitchurch A41. At the next roundabout take the first left (A41), the hotel is on the right hand side, approximately 300 yards down.
