The air conditioning unit in the room sounded like a tank re-filling itself, friends in another room said the same.The double room was not the largest, especially when adding the travel cot for our 2-year old daughter. Dinner at the restaurant would have been over-priced, though the food was nice - but we had the meal included in the weekend rate. PayTV did not work and rooms were not soundproof enough. swimming pool was not open at the time stated. Chcek in wasn't big enough or enough staff. There was an additional 'put u up' bed in the corner of my room that seemed strainge. You had to pay for internat usage and they never give my early morning call as requested making me late.It's a fairly characterless place, but suited our purpose. We could have done with a larger mattress cover under our sheet. Not really accessible into cambridge other than by car/taxi.we did ask for directions to the bus stop but failed to find it so ended up coming back to the hotel to book a taxi ( expensive ). i wasnt sure if could go up for more helpings at breakfast...it was that good i wanted more but didnt know if i was allowed to!!!. Road noise from the M11. staff in the resturant could of been more helpful. Our only problem was the shower which had a good flow for 5 minutes, unfortunately this changed to a trickle after that, otherwise no problems.We were overcharged for our stay as the restaurant had put the wrong room no. on our tab. The receptionist was not very apologetic in her tone. The reception staff were far too fast with the arrival info. we had to ask for it to be repeated.The desserts were not accurate in their description on the menu and a waiter totally misunderstood one of the options, they were poorly informed by kitchen. Parking is restricted as there are Leisure Centre visitors using it also.Very poor decorative standard for the price. Paper was peeling off the wall in our room .Also - I expected twin beds but it was a double. The food in the restaurant was terrible.I never ever complain but the beef was cold and i had to send it back and the fish was unsightly and totally tasteless and it was just left as we were so disappointed.I suggest you just take a look at it yrself when it is being served .
