Been before.. Will come again.. Individual character, staff are friendlyand go that little bit further with service. Superb and a pleasurableexperience. My two sons particularly love this hotel.. There is aparticular atmosphere that they cherish and it is so good to know thatthey are having fun just by being there. Restaurant staff and bar staffalso friendly and accessible. Hotel staff were very helful phone/email before we arrived. Felt comfortable as soon as we set through the door. Internet access worked without any problem - unlike other hotels we've stayed. Our room was light, very clean, pretty bed linen, Having sheets and blanket was a lovely change from a duvet. Extra pillows in room without having to ask. Plenty of tea, coffee etc.

The hotel won't win anyinterior design awards being a bit dated and worn in places, but theyare refreshingly open about this on their website (they even give you 10reasons not to stay!!). It was warm, friendly with its own uniqueness. The room we had was very clean and everything worked as it should. The breakfast was great, every thing you could want.The owners have been thoughtful and offer all that you may need.A wonderfully original hotel which reflects the offbeat sense of humour and fun of the owner. The breakfast provision was outstanding. Our stay was too short!. The decor is dated, and intially it does seem a bit much, lots of pictures of film stars etc. However, you quickly feel amused by it all, and realise its a good place!!. nothing at all. The decor was a bit jaded.Room very spacious, but double glazing would improve the noise from the traffic.Ensuite requires updating. The breakfast coffee was rather weak, but then again I like very strongcoffee, so most people would find it ok. The outside of the hotel was a bit off putting when we turned up as it looked quite run down. I think tho that it is under new ownership and they are concentrating on the inside of the hotel first. It appears that the hotel is undergoing a slow programme ofrefurbishment and as a result parts of the hotel are a bit shabby.Bar was a little spartan. The flooring in the en-suite needed replacing.
