The food was excellent both breakfast and the 3 course evening meal. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The accommodation was very comfortable and warm (it was snowing the day we arrived). A warm welcome with a good breakfast that last all day evening meal was home cooked and portion were large family's are looked after with play room. Good value for money, friendly owners and caters for young children, ideal place for us to stay whilst visting friends in nearby Beer.

The room was comfortable, the food was excellent and the owners were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Well set-up for children. Great informal garden to explore and play in as well as indoor playroom. Judith and Kevin were excellent hosts and the meals were first class and great value for money. Good food. Nothing all good. Owners seemed surprised by the size of our party when we first arrived, which appeared to be down to the booking process rather than the hotel. There was nothing we didn't like. Nothing. Decoration of rooms slightly tired needs re decorating. Nothing to say. Limited dinner menu and not made visible enough to encourage visitors to stay in for a meal in our personal opinion only. Difficult to find. Needs a map or detailed directions as google maps doesn't really work in this sort of environment. Some parts are in need of TLC and refurbishment. It is all a bit tired and out dated but we got a two room basic suite-old fashioned but functional for75 quid and it is close to the stunningly beautiful coastal village of Branscombe. Too far away for me. Very shabby. Room not clean. lack of cleanless lack of facilaties hotel is licenced but nobody about in the evenings rooms cold even with heating on shower did not work soap in bathroom had somebodies hair still attached milk in room had gone off breakfast was horrible.
