What people say
The staff were lovely and helpful, we felt welcome from the start of our short break to the end. We booked the small double bedroom as it was such a good price, and it was extremely well thought out with a nice view of the gardens as a bonus. It is in the best location, next to the shops, beach and gardens. Lovely breakfast too.
Centrally located, close to the shops and the seaside.
Basic accommodation but very adequately clean and comfortable.
Breakfast included with booking - basic food, what we expected.
Lovely staff, very helpful with directions and the questions we had.all reviews »
Excellent staff, good cooked breakfast, and the room was really nice with view over the adjacent park - but noisy from the bandstand - to be expected, and welcome! -but also from late night and early morning stay outers/drunks!.

easy to find, staff were helpful, handy back gate access to bournemouth park and shops.
It's location.
The room (small double) was perfect and had everything I wanted. The decor was lovely and it had lots of mirrors and storage space. Nice view of the Lower Garden of Bournemouth. Shower was powerful, room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice, the menu was varied and staff was very friendly and helpful.
Decor was tired but this didn't bother us at all.
Breakfast slot was very early, 8am-9am is hard to get up for when you're 18! We woke at 8:52 but were still allowed for breakfast.
The sound proofing between rooms is appalling - the last night we had a noisy person shouting into his mobile phone untill midnight, then snoring all night long - all VERY audible!.
The hot water was dangerously hot but it was labeled as such. We stayed
in a couple of their family rooms and the second was very cozy.
Nothing to do with hotel but Bournemouth really didn't seem to be ready for the summer season. We were there late June and there was still construction going on.
Decor tired and dated.
Nothing even the music coming from the gardens at the back of hotel was good we even opened window to hear better but it finished at 8-30 on night.
No water on arrival as plumber had turned it off to resolve problem. When turned on again water pressure very limited in shower.
Decor was very dated.
noise - not as quiet as the description had led me to believe.
Noisy at night from people in the Queen's Gardens.
The noise at night.
the carpets!.
Thin walls and floors so noisey.
room 25 was top of hotel so water to shower was very poor, and being up in the roof in hot weather was uncomfortable!.
The room was very hot with no fan or air con so I opened the window but then it was to noisy the floors above creek a lot so a good nights sleep was not what I got :-(.
There was a lot of noise at night from the garden as I stayed there over the weekend, but that's not hotel's fault.
