It was comfortable. As we arrived early the had the room ready at 12 for us at our request. Location was great, staff were amazing and only happy to help, room wasvery clean and very comfortable. Parking in locality difficult. No access to nearest cark park after 5.15pm on Sunday. Friendly and helpful staff. Receptionist was notably helpful in offering to hold my luggage behind reception whilst I parked my car - I had intended to place my bags in my room and return to park my car. The restaurant ladies were attentive and helpful - the main lady was appropriately chatty to all guests - quite a character - which certainly helped to achieve a 'homely' and welcoming atmosphere. All in all a very pleasant stay - Thank You.
all reviews » friendley staff room was clean and tidy location ideal. Central location. The single room was larger compared to most hotels that I have stayed in over here. It was easy to find if you say on the road and don't walk through the shopping centre. Where it is situated in the centre of the town. going to the pub across the road. quite,clean,incity centre. good location. situation. Staff were very helpful. The hotel is very central and convenient and offers good value for money. The staff were very firiendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good indeed. The Restaurant staff were very attentiven during my stay and even gave me a pot of tea at breakfast rather than having to use the hot water urn. the close proximaty to emenities, bars,restaurants,shops,parking. staff were friendly, hotel was clean and good value for money. central location. The location and parking facilities were very close secure and good value for money. location. nothing it was noisey we only had 1 curtain in our room and no bath plug also it looked like it had not been hoovered in a long time would not revisit and glad it was only for 1 night actually breakfast was nice and service in dining room was friendly. staff were friendly.location. This hotel is located right at the heart of all the pubs which was goodfor us, but not necessarily good for everyone, this should be noted inthe description as it can be very noisy. Lift was dirty and off putting. rooms were not ready for guests. was just a bit cold in the room oh and the ironing board was older than my granny lol and she is 95. No parking. I found the room a little cool even though I had the radiator turned up. no remote cntrol for TV,no spoon for coffee,telephone not workng. no car park. The hotel is looking very tired and some fairly basic maintenance is not being done. For example my room had an over bath shower but no shower curtain. In the 1st room I was allocated the phone did not work. The hotel now looks a little dated in places and in my opinion needs some refurbishment. Having said that it has more character than some of the modern faceless hotels that abound these days and I do feel that it represents very good value for money.The room was rather small but this is the first time I had booked a single room. More attention could have been applied to the dusting of window ledges and skirting boards in the room. However the room served its purpose for one night. we have stayed at the pack horse on numerous occasions and enjoyed the stay, but this time the room was very cold and felt damp , dont think the room had been aired long enough before our entrance even the hallway out side was very cold. some of the furnishings were a bit shabby, and thier was no hot water for a bath on a shower. car parking facilities. No parking. Not totally clean, some dirt in the window sill, obviouslynot been cleaned thoroughly. Bathroom was almost bigger than the bedroom, not much room in the bedroom struggled to get through the door with position of bed. Kettle did not work and was no mini bar.the windows were very dirty and the bed was cold, bed could do with more covers for the winter. i asked for a extra pillow and i'm still waiting. No telephone in room, Corridors smelt of urine, Basic TV, No internet, No parking. tv did not work.carpet stained. Ran out of bacon at breakfast. Only one pillow. Bed not very comfortable. No VAT receipt.The shower didnt work, neither did the cold water tap on the wash basin, the hot water was luke warm and the room was icy cold, with no extra blankets. Only 1 curtain on the window so there was limited privacy. The room was too hot at nite. The windows were smashed. the wallpaper was coming away from the walls and ceiling. The cupboard barely had two doors on it as 1 door was on its last hinge. The bedding looked old and shabby, infact the whole room did. The shower was either too hot or too cold.Shabby rooms with poor locking doors and windows, cigarette ash in window bottom and James had written his name in the dirt on the inside of the window! Alternative room was shabby but clean. room was dirty, shower was cold, hand rail on bath was loose. When I arrived there was a strong smell of curry.When I got to my room the windows did not close properly and obviosly the outside space below was where evryone went for a smoke therefore introducing the smaell into the room. Badly in need of redecoration. Arrived at 11.30pm, one staff member to do reception, serve drinks. it wouldn't be a surprise if the same guy cooked the breakfasts in the morning!. he room. it was filthy dirty. It whole place had an unpleasant smell. The non-smoking bedroom I had smelled of tobacco. The bathroom was filthy... The welcoming staff was cold and unfriendly. very dirty and smelly.

Travelling information

From M60 follow directions for Bolton A666. Turn off at crossover signposted Bolton South. Turn left onto Lower Bridgeman Street.
At traffic lights turn right. Focus Do It All is facing you. Follow road through two sets of traffic lights. After second set take next left into Nelson Square. The hotel is situated in the opposite side of the square.
