Warm, homely atmosphere, full of character. Tastefully-appointed, spotlessly clean throughout. Roaring log fire in guests' lounge - perfect for relaxing after a cold day outdoors! Lovely room with beautiful view; hospitality tray including biscuits and chocolates; extremely comfortable beds; super ensuite, complete with toiletries and huge, soft bath towels. Superb breakfast, locally sourced and freshly cooked to order. Perfect location for exploring Snowdonia, walking and numerous outdoor.
all reviews » Excellent three night stay. The owner was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped - biscuits and chocolates and beautiful toiletries! The breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious and there were lots of good restaurants within easy walking distance. Good position for touring Snowdonia. We will certainly recommend it. Ideal position almost in village centre with all facilities nearby eg bank, newsagent/shop, pubs and restaurants.Easy rach of numerous North Wales tourist attractions.Very comfortable "homely" rooms.Excellent breakfast to set you up for the day.Excellent and helpful host taking an interest and advising on your sightseeing vists. a wonderful centre for those, like us, who have never been to north wales. The village was very pretty and had plenty of facilities, such as very well stocked gift and curio shops and lots of eating out venues, both casual lunch and snack outlets and evening dining places of which we availed ourselves. mike and his wife were very welcoming and their home/Small hotel was beautiful and very comfortable. I had the smallest single room but it had a double bed and all the space and facilities l needed. I slept really well and the Welsh breakfast was delicious. The host is very friendly and attentive. We like the breakfasts very much and specially the very tasteful packed lunches the host made for us. We like to come back in Afon View. Betwys-y-coed is a nice village with a choice of good pubs for eveningmeals. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Luxury accommodation. as the majority of the guest houses and hotels were on the same road, the Holyhead Road, it was always quite noisy. Liked it all. We would have liked a bath in the en-suite. Breakfast was only served until nine, could have been a little later. nothing. Nothing. 2 things could be improved to help Australian Travelers. One is to have Vegemite to eat instead of Marmite. The other is to have instructions to work the shower. The water heating unit in the shower is unknown in Australia and the blue mark [means cold?] is hard to see so it is hard to learn how to get shower to go.
