All rooms at Roa Island House have a flat-screen digital TV and hospitality tray. Enjoy a full English breakfast in the dining room or conservatory, with striking sea views. The Sea View Cafe is open for lunch, with packed lunches also available. The Evening Menu has options for vegetarians and children. The house is licensed to serve alcohol. Facilities also include a very cosy TV lounge, with a log burner and Nintendo Wii console. An outstanding feature is the tower room, a lounge area with spectacular views over Morecambe Bay.

The couple that own the hotel are extremely welcoming and really care about their guests having a good time. It's that extra attention to detail which makes Roa Island Guest House such a lovely place to stay. The quiet location. I especially liked the tower lounge complete with telescope. This gave a great view of Morcombe bay and surrounding hills, it was also a great place to sit and unwind in the evening.

The people who run the hotel where really nice and friendly with a good breakfast and beautiful souroundings. what a great place to stay excellent food and service everything is well thought out and we carnt wait to go back we are going to book another weekend away there very soon. We loved the Island and the new lifeboat station was really interesting. It was a very peaceful hotel in a quite location right on the bay. An interesting bulding that used to be a Customs House. The watchtower is open for guest use including a telescope! Our room was comfortable and spacious with new, modern furniture and fittings. The proprietors were very friendly and made us feel at home. Good breakfast and great views over the bay. Friendly local pubs nearby. Lovely location, very friendly staff (loved Kizzy) made us feel verywelcome. It is a nice quiet location and the hosue itself is nice. The Taxi we had from Barrow in Furness ripped us off. We had a taxi to Clarks hotel for a meal and we wetre charged £7.00 at 7pm on Sat. On the return journey at 10.30 pm we were charged £2.50. The distance was roughly one and a half miles.As long as you drive everything was good but not many places toeat near by. i liked the hotel very much. As we are from overseas we would have appreciated instructions for the Television Freeview, which channels were available and a TV guide for the programmes. no convenience shop on the island - need to complete purchases before leaving town. However one small thing, a later check out time would have been much more relaxing. The parking - it is ok, but a bit tight to turn around in the place! The bed in the room was scary - it was so wobbly, I thought I'll end up on the floor the first night. Just tightening the screws by hand helped a bit, but you would have thought the owners/managers would sort it straight away as you can't miss it when making beds!.

Important information to guests

Do not go to Roa Island Hotel as some guests do. This has been closed for 10 years.

Roa Island Guest House has a ground floor twin room for disabled guests with access to a shower room with special facilities.
