The staff were wonderful (very helpful) and the location is great once you find it. I prefer to stay on the Asian side in Kadikoy (more authentic with fewer tourists) and it is an easy walk to the ferries for the European side and local market. The facilities are modern and clean. Also, there is a free hamam-style bath/spa in the hotel, which means you can enjoy the hamam experience without the language headaches. Good value and will definitely stay at the Parkhouse the next time I am in Istanb.
all reviews » Few hundred yards from Kadikoy ferry which goes to Eminou on western side near main attractions. Runs regularly about every 30 min (perhaps less) costs 3tl (about £1). Also ferry to near airport (takes 30 min) Bakirkoy. Near bars and restaurants on east side. Sell beer food and have English tv / WiFi in reception. The staff were very nice and friendly. The hotel is very clean and new, and specially in Turkey is very important to have the rooms for no smoking cause the smoke a lot everywhere. The spa is small but wonderful for a relax time. Staff are friendly and helpfull, location is perfect, spa is good, rooms and bathroom are modern and clean, hotel is in good condition. Good value for money. I recommend this hotel and will stay there again. Super helpful front desk staff with very good English, sorted any problems I had quickly and with care. Will definitely consider staying here again. The concierge made our stay delightful, sending a complimentary bottle of wine and some chocolates on my birthday. it was a good stay I like to stay in kadikoy in the asian side where the hotel located. Front desk reception absolutely great as i could communicate in English and very helpful. Under normal circumstances the hotel would have been perfect. However.... Very helpful staff, nice clean quiet environment and central location. I stay in this hotel 5.days end it was great!. staff is perfect and always smiling.. staff. Its location is suitable and it is more than enough for a simple turistic trip. Nice turkish bath and sauna. Staff are very nice. look above. The location was a little hard to find. It is a short walk from the Kadikoy ferries but the streets are confusing. We asked several people and got conflicting directions (including from the police!). Finally called the hotel and staff came to retrieve us. Should have done this first. Had to go on ferry to west side - but not major problem. WiFi didn't work on room. Breakfast is basic. The jacuzzi could have been cleaner. no thing. breakfast menu too bland no satellite tv very limited bbc and cnn english news no real entertainment for English speaking guests. I wasn't expecting to find myself or the hotel in the middle of a riot zone with a street full of hundreds of protesters, so getting tear-gassed by the Turkish Police armed with tanks and water cannons came as somewhat of a surprise and not something I recall seeing mentioned on the website. FYI tear gas really, really stings. The lady at the reception at checkout was too busy to say good morning or offer help for calling a taxi -we had five very heavy luggages. She even ignored our little chat effort! Other staff members were exceptionally polite and professional. it shouldn't be so hard and expensive to put some handcream+sewing kit+cotton buds to bath. The room was small and the breakfast quite poor. Rooms are very small. good overall, only problem very poor sound isolation in rooms you feel like sleeping in the street.
