It was my first time to Istanbul. Being me, I am very picky when picking place to stay or even which area to pick from. I was lucky enough to find Hotel Novano. After reading the reviews, I knew that was the place am going to stay with sister. And yes it was us girls traveling to Istanbul, so safety was definitely key. The area is super safe and its smack in the middle of the tourist attractions which are just nearby. Restaurants are everywhere. Tram is nearby and super convenient to use. Thats.

Hotel Novano is excellent in everything. The staff are so kind and helpless. The welcome was wonderful. The room is cosi and clean. The location is perfect, you can go easily anywhere from this place. I really enjoyed staying at Hotel Novano. A+++++++++++++++ A special Thanks to the Receptionist Ozgur, he's a very nice guy. When i go back to Istanbul. couldn't find a better hotel then we stayed at Novano for a second time. menager and staff are at their very best. we arrived very early in the morning but were accomodated right away and even given a complimentary breakfast. thank you Enver bey ! restaurants are close by, avoid Sur Balik though, way too expensive for their tiny portions. if you plan to visit Miniaturk (great trip) don't forget to buy the return ticket as they don't sell them on the city bus and in the vicinity. The hotel is nice, clean,modern and with excellent location. 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, theTram Station and many good restaurants. 15-20 minute walk to the Grand Baza ar. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast is fantastic. The hotel manager Mr Enver Bayrak and his staff Ali and Yasin are very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay there again on our next visit to The city. We stayed for 9days and everything was just great.. the location was fantastic.. You can go to most historic places in 5 to 10 min's walk.. a lot of cozy restaurants are just in front of the hotel.. most of all, the employees were very kind and polite..Mr.Envel,the manager,was a man of smile and very helpful for any inquiries such as booking tickets and trevel information.. I will sure to stay again if I visit Istanbul again.. Hotel Novano was perfect! Spotlessly clean, towels are changed every day. Our room, at the top floor was very spacious, and beautifully decorated. The street is quiet and we could sleep in the morning. Breakfast is very good! The staff is very friendly. The location of hotel is great, close to the Ayasophia, Blue mosque and tram station. We were really very satisfied and we should recommend this hotel to everyone. The location is great, just next to the main tourist locations, but at the same time on a romantic street with many nice restaurants. If you want a large hotel with lots of in house restaurants, gym, sauna etc then this is not for you. Extremely central location (Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia around the corner), the staff - especially the hotel manager, Enver Bayrak, and an assistant manager named Ali very friendly and helpful (organising trips, taxis, shows within minutes) and the room and bathroom impeccably clean. The breakfast selection was also much better than what I've experienced at other hotels in the past. When arriving, thought the district was not good at all. But after spending a couple of days there, it was fantastic Hotel Manager was most obliging as was the Night Manager. I had a lovely 3 night stay at Hotel Novano. I was traveling solo, so wanted a place I felt safe and comfortable. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful in providing tips of what to do in Istanbul. The room was small, but fine for one person and very clean. Breakfast was yummy! It is clean. the facilities are excellent, the staff is friendly and ready to help you. The hotel is well located in the centre of Sultanahmet, not far from the tram station, and it offers more than you expect in its category. The level of customer service was excellent. The standard double rooms are a bit on the small side. I had a hard time finding the hotel after getting off the tram from the airport. But then again, I had a hard time finding many places while in Istanbul. The streets are not clearly labeled. There is nothing not to like!. Just to find a minus, the room was very comfortable but a bit too warm. Nothing really. There is no lift. It could be a problem for old people. Can't think of anything. there is no soundproofing in bathrooms between next rooms))))). Breakfast could have been a bit more efficient. There were no sterno cans or steam tables to keep some of the things warm. Therefore, if you got downstairs to breakfast as she was taking the French toast off the griddle, you got to eat it hot. If not, it was cold. Nothing. There was no espresso for the breakfast (as in the rest of Turkey) and we would have preferred a baklava with the coffee. Liked everything. safe didn't run but hotel very safe. No negatives. the water doesn't flow properly through the shower drain, it should be revised. Thin walls between bathrooms. The room was a bit small. The night staff did not speak any English and his response to anything was "no English". The airconditioning blew right down on the bed and the balcony was 2 feet from a rock wall. Our bedroom was on road side & quite noisey. Very noisy rooms - wooden floors and doors between rooms that propagate the noise, our room was small. there is no elevator, small rooms. looking out of the window - there was only a wall. Not a lot really...There's no lounge / reception area but that wasn't a problem to us. Keep in mind, this is a no frills hotel.
