Really cheap for the real cave hotel. I had my room the top of the hotel.. it wasn;t cave room. but it has excellent view and it has balcony. I can see the ballons flying across the Capadocia in the morning from my balcony. it was really beautiful sight. One staff ( I forgot his name but he is always at the reception or the bar) was really friendly and helpful. The Hotel is very nice-looking. I really recommend this hotel! Nice place.
all reviews » Brilliant location above the town so with great views from the terrace. Our cave suite was lovely and such a unique experience. Fully appreciated having use of the pool in the summer heat. We had the excellent value dinner, sat on the terrace watching the sun set over the fairy chimneys - magical, and watched the balloons go over at sunrise. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Shame we were there for just one night. My stay at Shoestring Cave hotel was wonderful. I stayed in a really impresssive cave suite that reminded me of a hobbit home. I loved it! Suleyman was very welcoming and helped me book the Green tour of Cappadocia. The free breakfast was good, the staff was friendly and the courtyard was beautiful. The view from the restaurant is gorgeous. I highly recommend this hotel. Shoestring is in the heart of Cappadocia - a perfect spot. The staff were helpful and honest - I realised I couldn't find my wallet just before our bus was to leave - our bus was abt 6 hours after check out and when I went to see if I had left it in the office it was there with everything intact. You can't beat honesty. Staff is nice and helpful. My frd found she left sth on the bus or tourist information centre,they helped my friend to contact the bus company and tourist information centre immediately . The water is hot in winter.one little thing is that u can hv a look to the 5 little lovely puppies if u cum here in this period . The people were amazing, very helpful and friendly. We could book our tours and balloon flights the moment we checked in. The room was very nice and clean, with clean towels, slippers and shower gel, cream, etc. The breakfast was varied. It had a very nice environment and the wifi worked very well. The rooms were spacious and clean and it was nice having the rooftop pool! The central area was great for relaxing and meeting other guests. We had dinner there one night and it was so good! Fresh and delicious and so nice to sit by the pool with the beautiful view of the town. The terrace has a great view. Breakfast was a buffet and there was always plenty even if you arrived late. Staff were helpful with organising tours. Laundry service easy really quick. Friendly atmosphere. Bathrooms in private rooms were lovely. Really great place to stay!. The guy at the reception was so helpful and friendly. He patiently helped us with every kind of detail. Every place he offered us to go to eat or visit was one of a kind. The hotel is also very interesting and rooms could be considered to be quite romantic. The setting is surreal, like Hobbiton, with all the roofs made of melting icecream. The cave-rooms are gorgeous. I liked the location and the rooms were comfortable. The pool also looked very inviting although I did not have the time to use it. It was also very quaint. The hotel and its style. Swimming pool was little dirty. I didn't want to swim in that pool. At the night, Some people gather around the pool and get very noisy. i can hardly sleep well. I wasn't aware that it was more a backpackers style hotel - probably more my inexperience than their listing. The decor was a little tired looking. The pool could be a bit cleaner and they could have some sort of fresh beverage for breakfast. WiFi was patchy in the rooms and on the terrace. My door didn't shut, wasnt fixed for over 24 hours, and we weren't offered a discount for this. I felt safe with the door situation but it was an issue for passport/valuable. Rooms near stairwells very noisy. The only thing we didn't like was having to leave. Pool looked too dirty for swimming. Depending on your room location and the other guests, the courtyard could be quite noisy which could be disturbing for those sleeping! Wi-fi only worked in courtyard. Swimming pool is a little small, some basic devices are lacking i rooms ( night lambs, wardrobe etc.. ). There was a constant damp smell in the room, after all, it is a cave; opening the windows helped a little bit. Lots of construction work in the surrounding areas. The hotel could do with a better luggage room and shared bathroom facilities. Everything went great no complaints :-). I dont think there was anything I didnt like. We stayed in two different double rooms. They are not bad but they look kind of unfinished. Probably in some months they will be better. Nothing in particular. Leaving!. The staff didn't seem like they knew what was going on but were helpful with anwering some questions. You pay extra for small options like eggs or juice for breakfast or for the first floor instead of ground floor etc. The room was a bit noisy because it was directly on the corridor and you hear everything people do, but it's really a SMALL problem!. Nothing. Nothing really, I had a GREAT time at Shoestring Cave Hotel. It was excellent, no complaints. Too many stairs for older people, slight odor in bathrooms (we stayed in two different rooms during our stay). The heater was working badly in our room so we were freezing in the night However, the heaters in other room worked perfectly. The man in reception looked tired and behaved like one, although he was efficient. Our room(every room indeed) faced to inneryard and almost all day and night there were people outside of our window which was not annoying to us but someone with sleep problems should know about it. no good parkıng place. There was a lot of noise during the morning as some tourists wake up at 6 for the balloon flying. I guess this is not the usual situation... I do not like to drag my heavy luggage up to the 4th floor with no elevator at all. There is no hair drier. Rooms are very small with no chair, no coathangers and dunnie could have been cleaned better, rooms have a musty smell. WIFI sus at times. I had room near the pool and people want to gather all hours around it and make noise, I changed rooms only to have same problem from back packers sitting around the downstairs. We all need a good night sleep for the next days adventure. When leaving they tried to charge a different price from the booking com confirmation,. The cleaness and neighbour.
