The interior design done with great taste and creating very warm and cosy ambience. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are kept clean. They accept dogs. The pool area and the spa is cosy and very comfortable. I am definetely returning back. Outstanding location in the village close to the main rail station and the Gornergrat mountain railway. Superb rooms, comfortable public areas, excellent breakfast, luxury spa and helpful staff. A top hotel.

The hotel has its own buggy and it would be worthwhile sending message to advise time of arrival to be met as the pathways are "quaint". Everything is perfect here. The owner, Alex, is very awesome and help everything. The breakfast room is very cosy and warm which is 200 years old. I really enjoy spending time in here. The stile of the rooms and common areas is simple, clean and modern. The spa area is spotless and well arranged. Breakfast could not be any better. The place is beatiful and very stylish, so the creativity with breakfast as it is a bed and breakfast hotel would be an icing on the cake. Can't really fault anything, only minor gripe would be the pool/jacuzzi need to be warmer. No evening restaurant. If you cannot see the top of the mountains do not bother taking the train to Gornergrat as it will be a waste of money unless you want to stand inside a snow cloud. The water in the pool could be a couple of degree warmer. No restaurant in hotel for dinner however allows you to try out other restaurants within the resort. View of matterhorn obscured by train station, from lower floors. No hot tub, very pricy. The hotel is 50 m away from train station, but it is behind other buildings. Not visible from train station. More signage or a detailed map provided before arrival would be very helpful. Rather impersonal and a bit clinical. The pool was a little bit cold. No chairs outside at our terrace. Double beds. with a junior suite we expect a bit more services for the room, like a free bottle of water (charged CHF 8 at the bar) or at least a mini bar, a night bed service, small attention to the customer. The room was overheated without possibilité to graduate the temperature.
