The staff, esecially Bea (front desk), Zora (front desk), Dragana(lounge) & Willy (Piano player). These individuals were exceptional, with superb people skills. My room was on the top floor and I had an excellent view of the Matterhorn. The hotel is in close proximity to the downtown area and places of interest. An easy stroll to restaurants and entertainment. Upon my departure, it had snowed heavily that night and the next morning it was still snowing. The train station is close but nevert.
all reviews » We loved the hotel and the location. The staff was very friendly and unquestionably efficient. The spa was first rate with an amazing pool, Jacuzzi and a northern style sauna. We thoroughly enjoyed this aspect. We made full use of the kitchen facility since we were a couple with 6 (hungry!)college age kids. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen. The most amazing aspect of the apartment is that from the balcony, we had a full view of the Matterhorn. Hiking and skiing were amazing. We can. Very easy walk and close to the train station, shopping and restaurants/bars. They put us on the top floor which was a whole apartment when we only booked a room with double bed. This was an extra plus. Thank you. Great view of the Matterhorn. Breakfast was exception and offered hot omelettes or eggs in additional to all the other food. This is a very nice hotel, the location is just minutes away from the train station, we could view Matterhorn from our hotel room. Nothing was said to us at Check In about a Meal Plan. When we checked out, there was a charge for Breakfast. I did tell the woman at the desk we were not aware breakfast was included. She basically said too bad for you. We were trying to catch a train and I did not want to argue, so I just paid it. She wasn't going to budge on that. Noise in the morning age of the furniture. Hotel was old and many items were clearly worn. Lighting were too dim. Older furniture, and facilities. Poor breakfast and old fashion rom and bathrom. 1.I think it is too expensive for what it is 2. I saw a cockroach in the kitchenette 3. The kitchenette is highly inconvenient (extremely small). Old design of the room Breakfast average (coffee really not good..). Rooms simple and fairly dated. Below expectations. Definitely NOT a design hotel.
